What is the real deal with Trustaff???

Hey all...

I'm really interested in traveling to St. Thomas I first contacted PNS about traveling with them because of the ad for oncology nurses asap. A recruiter contacted me within a short amount of time and said that she would try and reach the head nurse in St. Thomas. Haven't heard back from her, island time, I know. So next I reached out to Trustaff, the recruiter I spoke to was awesome... and wants to submit me asap. Although, as I do more and more research I see some true horror stories about this company... does anyone have any recent experiece with them? Good or bad!?!? I understand about the conditions of the hospital and island time- I'm good with that, I just don't want to get screwed over. Thanks for what ever you got!

I have been with trustaff for over a year and they have been great to me as far as I know. No complaints. I am thinking about trying Fastaff though for a few contracts. That will give me more to compare with.

The current Trustaff recruiter I was talking too, on a personal level, could be my best friend. We have soo much in common from hobbies to tv shows, etc. HOWEVER, when I was debating between two locations of where to go next, I was surprised by the pay packaged offered. I was also talking with other companies as well. With each location, the pay package he would quote me was $500 less per week vs what the other companies would offer. It didn't happen once, but twice. I would ask if he could match, but couldn't. He would "get back to me" but never would concerning that package.

Maybe it's happening because I might be getting to friendly with my recruiters, but I just like to get to know a person. Maybe he thinks because we are "buddies" that I wouldn't question his offers. I don't know.

I think it just depends...I've had 2 different recruiters from the same agency (at different points) and they were polar opposites. Depends on the person I guess and the amount of customer service skills and go get-em attitude they have, since you have to be independently motivated as a recruiter.

I am currently with Trustaff. I've had my bumps in the road but generally speaking it's a good company. I've only been traveling for 3 1/2 years but I feel it's not so much the company as the recruitor and what your expectations are.

I'm interested in going to St Thomas in January. Let me know how it goes. Don't expect to make any money though.

I just did a contract with them for the 1st time. 13wk contract in Bangor, Maine. It was a terrible facility, terrible housing, terrible recruiter, & TruStaff is a terrible company. They lie to you to get you on, & they jack you up. They take all your money. I was bringing home less than 35% of my check every week. My contract was changed 3 diff times. Don't fall for the crap any of the recruiters tell you. I worked w/ 2 diff recruiters there, as the 1st recruiter that really screwed me over left the agency days after I called her out on what she'd done wrong to me. I got another recruiter & she wasn't much better. FIND A DIFFERENT AGENCY PLEASE!

I have been with tru staff off and on for 3 years. I absolutely love them. I got a regular full time job and after 6 months I went to tru staff again for an assignment close to home. Now Im working 2 jobs. I think its all about your recruiter, and mine is the BEST!! They have taken me on several adventures. Ive had a place on the beach and was able to take my children somewhere that they loved. Tru Staff helped me get my license in another state and they pay my fees or reimburse them. I did have one assignment that I hated, but that was not tru staff, it was the hospital. Tru staff stood by me, negotiated more pay, and supported me through the assignment. I can email or text my recruiter at anytime. I feel like I can make my own pay package and get the hours I want because of my experience. I wouldn't go anywhere else. Too much of a hassle to deal with other agencies.

It is very much possible that any one individual could have a good experience with even the worst of employers. That doesn't make that person untruthful because they choose to talk about it. The opposite is also true.

I've worked with people from all over. I've never met anyone that was truly happy. They were always researching other agencies, trying to get more money, having issues with their pay, among other things. I posted because I rarely had a problem. I love it there. I work a weekend job as charge and I just started a local travel assignment again with tru staff. I never see much about them, so that's is why I voiced my opinion.

I fully agree. The very worst agencies have their fans, and indeed every agency has fans and detractors. Random negative reviews happen to every decent sized agencies, but some have a lot more. Trustaff is one of those.
