i'm a new grad starting an operating room internship next week. i really want to protect my feet/legs and invest in a good pair of shoes since i'm going to be on my feet for well pretty much my whole shift.
i dont have any restrictions on what i can/cannot wear so i'm open to all suggestions. i've been looking into possible the nursing birkis - does anyone have them and if so are they as comfortable as they appear to be?
thanks!

Plogs. They're all I will wear. The US distributor is Rockers.

Ooooh!!! That's what I was going to recommend as well! It was a nice feeling to know that you could really get them "clean".

I like Dansko's, but I know many nurses who swear by the Croc's. The Croc's are much cheaper so you may want to try them first. Different shoes work for different people. Just keep trying shoes until you find whatever works best for you.
Congrats on the graduation and the new intership.

I wear crocs too, it's like your walking on air. My daughter calls them my ugly shoes though. :chuckle

I like Klogs - very soft and cushy, plus they're easy to keep clean. Be sure to get some sort of slip on (you don't want to mess with shoe laces after you have globs of junk drip on your feet!

Dansko Professional clogs all the way... The oiled or latigo finish, not the suede. I have one pair and I wear them constantly. I want about 10 more. This pair is about 18 months old and there is almost no wear on them.
