I'm a junior at Walla Walla College in Portland, OR. The main campus is in Walla Walla, WA. Only nursing majors are on the Portland campus, and it's great because of the small size. We have about 80 nursing students (juniors and seniors). It's a 7th day Adventist college (although I'm not Adventist). I think we have the best, most supportive staff. They really want you to succeed, and bend over backwards to help you. Anyway, I love my school and think that this is the best one in Portland (we have 4 BSN programs).
Hi all....I'm just finishing my first semester @ Broome Community College....it offers an "evening and weekender" program. There are about 25 of us in the class. Unfortunately, it's a 3 yr program, but that allows for the smaller class size and spreading the curriculum out over that period. I'm doing well and loving it. My youngest co-student is about 26 and the oldest is in her 50's. A few are LPN's, more are CNA's, and the rest of us are just have that desire to become RN's. I'm 44 and have 2 boys, 14, 15 yrs. old. I'm making many sacrifices, but in the long run, they'll all be worth it.
