I'm a junior at Walla Walla College in Portland, OR. The main campus is in Walla Walla, WA. Only nursing majors are on the Portland campus, and it's great because of the small size. We have about 80 nursing students (juniors and seniors). It's a 7th day Adventist college (although I'm not Adventist). I think we have the best, most supportive staff. They really want you to succeed, and bend over backwards to help you. Anyway, I love my school and think that this is the best one in Portland (we have 4 BSN programs).
I'm currently attending Jewish Hospital College of Nursing and Allied Health in St. Louis. I love the program and the faculty. Their ADN program is like an accelarated program some of their courses are 8wks and others are 16wks. They are affiliated with Washington University School of Medicine and Barnes Hospital, who is nationally known for their advancements in medicine. I love to tell anyone that I attend JHC for my nursing edu. The response is always a positive one. That makes me feel good especially when it comes from potential employers.
Walla Walla was actually my last choice for schools, based mostly on the fact that I did not know that much about it before I applied. I was accepted by Linfield, but heard from Walla Walla first, and quickly put a deposit to hold my spot. I have to sat that it was the best decision I have made. If I had my choice between the 4 bachelor programs in the area, I would definately choose WWC. Being a small school with only nursing students, you really receive a lot of personal attention, and encouragment. I wish you the best of luck, and hope to see you in the fall.
