  1. I got a good vibe from them, I'm just not ready to be able to not work at all for a year yet!!!
  2. 8-4:30 is crazy!!!! I'm lucky I can make it through 3 hours of regular college classes a day without going nuts! ...we'll see what they can do for me tomorrow!
  3. Anyone gotten their LVN from here? I'm looking into starting on mine in the next year so I can get experience and save some money before I continue in my RN. This is the closest one to me (it's in Arlington, I'm in FW) so I was wondering if anyone had gone there or new anything about it? The lady I talked to didn't really know anything about the LVN program.
  4. Carrollton/Farmers Branch is in the northern suburbs and a GREAT place to live! Great schools if you're gonna have kiddies.
  5. I'm applying to go in for regular undergrad in the fall to finish my pre-reqs because the advisor I talked to there said they have limited spaces in their nursing school and they give first priority to the students who have done ALL of their pre-reqs at TCU (they're guaranteed a space if they finish their pre-reqs in time), then second is to people who transfer in to finish pre-reqs, and then applicants from outside schools. I'm also sending out an app. to UTA incase I don't get into TCU or my mom and dad lay down the big "no!"
  6. you'll need all the schools core requirements, plus most require sociology. all of them pretty much want a&p 1 and 2, micro bio, psych, stats, a diet/nutrition class and some also require a chem class.
  7. I'm a nursing student and I'm moving back to Fort Worth to finish up pre-reqs and start into nursing school and I need some work pretty badly. I'd love to work at an area hospital doing anything I can. If any of y'all know of anything, I'd VERY much appreciate it if you could let me know!
  8. Texas is WONDERFUL. Friendly people, GORGEOUS sites to see (yes, even in flat, brown West Texas), the BEST music by FAR (Pat Green, Cory Morrow, Cross Canadian Ragweed-well, they're from OK, but they huge here, WILLIE NELSON.) I have yet to find anything bad in this state outside of Houston (hate that town...)
  9. Weatherford schools aren't too bad. Do NOT put your kids in the Lake Worth/Saginaw or Grandbury systems...they are NOT good. And if you live IN dallas, do private school. Dallas city public schools aren't all that great. The best schools will be in the N. Dallas suburbs and the mid-cities area. Not sure about schools in FW.
  10. I'm looking at TCU myself and UTA. I haven't heard glowing things about TWU. TCU is waaaay expensive, but it will get me out of school 1-2 semesters faster than UTA. Plus, as a Red Raider....I have a natural aversion to all things ut. :)
  11. The Carrollton/Famers Branch area has a WONDERFUL school system (I'm a product of it ) and the houses have a fairly moderate price as far as the nicer school districts go. C/FB is also a great location for working anywhere in the metroplex, it's close to major highways and streets. If you're willing to live further out of town and maybe pay a little more for a home investment, Southlake is a real up and coming town right now.
  12. BSN program at Texas Tech University. Go Raiders!
