Hi everyone! :redpinkhe

I was just offered a job as a CNA today :) Orientation is next week and they told me to come wearing "street clothes." I immediately thought jeans and nice shirt... but my mom said they meant that I don't have to wear scrubs... hmm so I am confused! What would YOU wear? This is a brand new facility. It specializes in rehabilitation. ... and it is VERY nice. Everyone dresses very nice. I don't want to be over or underdressed. Should I call them to clarify? I don't want to sound silly!

Thanks!

The mean not scrubs, but I would NOT show up in jeans, flip-flops or anything like that. I would show up in business casual.

Khaki pants with a blouse and nice shoes, or a semi-casual skirt with the same should be appropriate.

That!

Jeans are not a good idea - My workplace specifies over and over - NO Jeans. People still show up in them - trust me management notices though they may not say anything. No flip flops, or open toed/open back shoes as a general rule. Nothing see through or that exposes too much skin.

They mean business casual. NO JEANS, FLIP FLOPS or anything you would wear to the beach.

Business casual, especially since you have noticed that everyone dresses nicely there.

Definitely business casual. No sweatshirts, jeans, cut offs, sandals. A nice top and a pair of slacks, khaki's.

I would think they meant business casual just make sure it's something comfortable you can move in.
