Hello,
This web page will give you a pretty good idea as to why Microbiology is important and relevant to nursing. :)
Super relevant to nursing, I loved microbiology. My classmates and I learned about everything from sexually transmitted diseases, dna, super bacterias, viruses, proper disinfectants, antiseptics .We even got to grow bacteria we swabbed from our mouths, e coli, staph, in petri dishes and tubes...
I found a website called SketchyMedical and it looks like a great way to learn microbiology. The only thing is, it's geared toward medical students, so I was unsure if I wanted to spend the money if it did not cover the same material. However, I wonder how different it could be. Either way, when the semester starts, I am going to do a free trial to see if it is helpful.

Microbiology is only one of two prereqs I have left to take next semester. I get the idea of the course "the study of small life" but out of all the material you go over, how much of it was clinically relevant? How much of it, do you think, will help you (or has helped you) in nursing school? Just trying to get excited for the course haha thanks !
