Hey Guys,
Just curious who's hiring in NYC. I am a new LPN and looking for my first job. Already sent resumes out, but waiting. I get numerous LTC offers, but would prefer a Hospital setting to gain experience and sharpen my skills. Any one have any info about NYC hospitals thats hiring new, LPN's? Could really use some help:typing

Columbia hires LPNs for their clinics.
Here is an idea check NYU, not the hospital, the university, they have a student health center that hires LPNs sometimes.

Not lately. I posted my resume on their job board but no response as of now. From time to time, I check but no LPN jobs are posted.
Lucky you! I am looking forward to begin my LPN career in a Long-term care facility. Which ones are hiring?

sorry I don't know of any inpatient hospitals in Manhattan that hire LPN's-- as far as I know they won't even hire ADN's....

The LPN's u see working in hospitals on inpatient units have been working there for a while! Hospitals will only hire LPN's now for clinics and to get in u have to know someone. Believe me, u wil get the exerience u need by accepting the ltc offer because sorry to say, LPN's r now stuck in LTC and home care. I know graduating from the LPN program u have this notion that only a hospital will give u exp, but whe u get out the gates into th real world u realise otherwise. Clinic work is not gonna giveu enough exp, work in ltc and gain exp there so that when u complete RN education ur ltc exp will help u land a hospital job faster than a new grad with no lpn background!
