  1. I dont like med surg. I like taking care if patients medically too. I hate being at a job and can't even use the bathroom. How do you enjoy a career like that. Thats why Im doing a year in med surg, then going to different department, either ER, OR, L and D.
  2. I just got hired on the med surg floor, my oreintation finish in april. I really dont like, it. I know for a fact after a year I will leave.
  3. Can I have the address and phone number to call please. Thank you
  4. My plan is to leave the case because I don't think it's fair that the patient continously ask me to move his hands, feet, and head every five minutes. I dont kno if he does this on purpose or if he needs attention. My client is 11 years old. I have get up and get on the floor to do these. Even when I suction him I have to kneel down to do it cause he is on the floor. So know I use another chair cause of my back. But thank you so so much guys!
  5. Everytime a nurse train me to a new case. They washing clothes, folding clothes everything the patient wants you have to do it, especially the family too. there is a patent that I have he is disabled and has contractions. And always on the floor, I have to move is feet and hands and head every five minutes. Is that normal? Or should I leave the case
  6. I work in homecare as a RN, I work 8 hour shifts inside a patient home. Sometimes I feel like I'm a HHA. Is there a limit as what we can't do as nurses. Because some families try to abuse our services. So what aren't supposed to do?
  7. As a new graduate, since its hard to find a job especially I'm ny, what other state or states is better to work as a registered nurse. Or what agency is willing to relocate a new graduate? Cause its not easy to just get up aND leave.
  8. Im currently working in homecare now, I'm in school too for my Bsn as well. I'm even volunteering at an abortion clinic but I just started, like only four days so I don't know if u can even put it on my resume, can I ? All of this and no job. Where did you go out of state? Jersey or Connecticut or pa?
  9. I'm in the same position too. I can't find job in NYC. It's hard. If I work in a nursing home and get my bsn
  10. Are there any nurse working in a hospital in NYC, that can help me get a job. I apply online and no calls. When I call they say just apply online. The nurses I see who get hired are nurses who knows someone or a friend of a friend gave the nurse recruiter the name of a the new graduate. So you have to know somebody in Order to get hired. This not fair. I have been looking for a year now. I see some hospital only require a RN license that's it. I have my ADN license, I hope someone can help me please.
  11. Are they still hiring at the Beth israel hospital for new grad rn????
  12. What do think about me working in planned parent hood, compared to home care visiting nurse?
  13. BALC is a LPN school? Do you know where you will work after you graduate.? HOw are the success rate of employment after school?
  14. Does anyone know where I can get a job in nyc as a new grad RN AAS. I would work any where, except home care, 8 or 12 hours. There is no growth for knowledge
