I found this site a while back & have been doing lots of reading here! It is great being able to read what others are going through with school as well as nurses working on the floor.
I am 37 yrs old & have been working toward my 2-yr RN degree for a little over 3 years now. I work full time as well as two part time jobs so I am only taking two classes per semester so I can keep my grades up & not get bogged down! I am married & have a daughter who is getting ready to graduate high school. It is going to be really wierd running into my daughter on campus next semester! :chuckle
I have been an EMT-Basic for about 5 years now & that is what gave me the idea to go to nursing school. There is just something about it that I love! I am hoping to get hired on in the ER once I graduate.
I just started my last semester before clinicals. Hopefully anyway! It is very competitive for entry into clinicals at my school & less than half who apply each semester actually get into clinicals. Hopefully with my 3.9 gpa & my high score on the entrance exam, I will not have any problems getting in
That is it for now! I just wanted to drop in & introduce myself!

Welcome to Allnurses.com :heartbeat
Here you will find a lot of support on your journey towards nursing school, and once you finally get into a program you will find even more support. There's people that will help with whatever homework questions or just general questions and concerns you may have.
I have a teenage daughter also, but the things is, I'm going to graduate a year before she enters college :chuckle
Good Luck to you
