Most allied health pay is similar to nurse pay if patient care is involved. But as a nurse you have more room for advancement and a wider range of options for specialization than you would in most allied health fields. Other health care options ... PT, pharmacy, PA ... and of course MD, etc., etc.
Being a physician (MD or DO) is "good-paying." In fact, it is probably the best-paying occupation in the healthcare food chain. Doctors command six-figure salaries, have plenty of autonomy, are heavily respected by society, and have the potential to become rich if they select a lucrative specialty.
Physical Therapist and Advanced Radiology Tech (one who does ultrasounds, MRI's, and the like)
Not sure about Speech Therapists and Occupational Therapists
What interests you? Maybe you can check these out by spending time on the job with one or 2 of each type of therapist and technician.
And of course there should be lots of material available from their trade organizations. Check out their websites.
