Where in the heck does one even get elephant tranquilizer??? I get that the horse tranquilizers are stolen from vets offices, but who keeps large quantities of elephant meds besides the zoo?? People are crazy!

No one is sure yet, but the police think it's coming from China. And the worst part is naloxone doesn't always reverse it...or it takes boatloads to reverse it.

Carfentanil (synthetic opioid elephant/big game narc tranquilizer) is 10,000x (TEN THOUSAND) more potent on a milligram/milligram basis than morphine.

So if you had 1mg of carfentanil in 1ml and injected that into a liter (1000 ml) bag of NS — remember that 1ml is 10,000x stronger than morphine — so, each milliliter in that liter bag now contains the opioid equivalent of —

10mg morphine per ml (or cc). Wow.

As for obtaining it — I'd bet on some diversion. Some synthesizing. After all it's not like someone would have to steal a crate if it.

Cha-Ching! Big money in synthesizing this one. But, it seems best measured via dropper or by the ounce.

I cant get a link to post but there have been a outbreak of deaths in the Cincinnati/Central OH area that they are linking to this drug.
