I'm really disappointed with myself but I'm considering it my practice run. I'll get a low A or B in my english, a low B or high C in my intermediate algebra (hate math) and if hell freezes over a LOOOOOW C in my A&P class, the one that is 1&2 combined into one class. It's not that I think A&P has difficult concepts, I just couldn't remember anything. I finally figured out it was because I've trained my brain to remember as little as possible because I do medical transcription. I was going to take summer classes, but instead I'm going to study my A&P all summer and get it down. I also had to do a lot of traveling to care for my grandpa, which was unexpected. Plus I was having lots of gallbladder problems, which I finally got taken out last Friday! :) That hurts WAY more than I thought it would by the way. I swear someone dropped me on the floor. And Steri-strips are NOT my friend.
I also found out I have to apply for an extension to get any future federal financial aid and I have to fill out the next 4 semesters of classes. Hopefully my advisor will okay my plan. I'll be able to get a nice chunk of the LPN/RN classes that aren't NUR out of the way.
Thanks for listening to the complaining. :)

Sounds like your semester did suck, but at least it sounds like you're not beating yourself up over it and have a plan to get back on track in the fall. And gallbladder remover isn't a piece of cake, no matter how they try to tell you it is. Had mine out 10 years ago and even with the laproscopy's tiny incisions it still took me a full two weeks to get back to work (and that was a desk job). Good luck to you and I hope you're feeling better soon! :)

You did the best that you could do, which isn't all that bad.
Best of luck to you!

My first semester back in school was hard too...I couldnt seem to get a handle on studying--then after that things got better. I just had to get back into a school mindset after being out for 8 years.
Good luck!

Keep trying! Never give up! :)
Sometimes we have to have a wake-up call, maybe this is yours.
Find out which way you learn better, and go from there. (For example, if visual, print pics out to study from, if reading/writing, then write stuff out & read it over and over again, and if audial, record lectures and/or your own voice reading your notes & listen it the recordings over and over again!!!)
Good luck!!!!! :balloons:
