What caught your attention in the world today?

I came across this is little story today, it's not breaking news.  I suspect that a member of the housekeeping staff knows something about the bomb threat that required the sweep for weapons.

According to police in Secaucus, the bomb threat — which later was determined to be bogus — was called in to Hudson Regional Hospital on July 18. During a search, bomb detection dogs led investigators to an unlocked office closet containing dozens of firearms.

Among the weapons were 11 handguns and 27 rifles or shotguns, according to police. The closet also contained a .45 caliber semi-automatic rifle with a high-capacity magazine that was determined to be an assault rifle, and a 14-round high-capacity handgun magazine.

The arrested the guy the next day.

What the heck do you think this guy was doing? It sounds very ominous that he was keeping those weapons there.

I'm always surprised when health professionals seek to discuss issues (like abortion) with authority while not knowing basic facts about the issue.

You mean like abortifacients?  Do we need to bring the receipts on your comment?

I feel like all context and continuity of thought is lost in these threads.  You've missed my point entirely multiple times, @Roitrn

Sure... it would be interesting for you to actually bring something to the conversation beyond right wing rhetorical darts.

I find it disturbing that Healthcare professionals that make assumptions of people and assume facts without asking.

Or use inflammatory language such as "authority" and allude to intelligence by making assumptions in which there is not evidence of.

Please show me where I took an authorities stance or claimed a fact in relationship to abortion funding?

I clearly said I do not know much info on how it's is funded. And litterally asked someone who did provide me with some info.

So instead of acting out your obvious bias about me, why don't you  provide some education on the subject?

I agree. Many point of thought have been lost. You've entirely missed my point on almost everything.

Perhaps we should move on.

Planned Parenthood can bill private insurance, or a client can pay out of pocket. They also receive donations to help low income people obtain services. I make a yearly donations.

Thank you  for this information. How do people with no private insurance get them?

When the word "authority" is construed as inflammatory there's probably not much room for additional discussion.  When someone makes confident statements about a subject, presumably from personal knowledge or experience, they are speaking with authority. Health professionals speak with authority regularly.

If you have questions you should ask questions rather than make statements.  What do you want me to explain to you?  So far you've not really connected with any of my other explanations to you so that seems like an exercise in frustration.  But I'll try.

Do you think that you are engaging in reasonable dialog when you accuse me of "acting out" my "obvious bias" toward you? Should I interpret this as a reflection of your bias toward me? Are you implying that I'm being rude or inappropriate with you in these remarks?

One just has to show up.  They were my "doctor" when I was just out of college and didn't have health insurance when I was between jobs.

This is my very first comment about abortion funding.

I wonder if the funding for Planned Parenthood could reallocate to programs to support families with children?

Seems reasonable considering some think there will be an increase of birth rates due to abortion law changes.

Please quote what I said that was stated as fact or authoritive on any of my  comments following. Please proved the "confident statement" I made that leads to believe that . The actual statement that backs up your claims.

I did ask question. And made no statements.  Please provide the contrary. Again, my actual statement.

I am bias, everyone is. Integrity is known when the person can acknowledge this fact. This comment vaguely implies that I say you have no integrity.

The impression I get is that perhaps you are having some sort of emotion about our conversations in another thread. That you are making bias assumptions based on this and what you most likely think a conservative is.

I get the impression that you use vague derogatory comments purposely to get a reaction only to insinuate the person is only to claim that you were only stating facts etc...

You make allegations without providing evidence. You have yet to state my comments that gave you the impressions you have. Although you regularly ask for this.

You are the only one who knows what your intention is. This is the impression I get. I am not claiming authority or making a statement regarding what I wrote above.

I  see that you only have 3 years of experience and maybe you are very young.  I will try to be more gentle because you have no sense of history yet.  Many if the nurses on this thread have or had forty years of experience and have learned how things work...like you can't just take money from Planned Parenthood (WHY would anyone even want to?) and just give it to somebody else.  That's not the way the world works .

If that was your question, then just ask it.  I'm sure no one here had any idea what you were asking.  This will be your homework question but you have one clue here from Heron...the government does not:)
