I came across this is little story today, it's not breaking news. I suspect that a member of the housekeeping staff knows something about the bomb threat that required the sweep for weapons.
According to police in Secaucus, the bomb threat — which later was determined to be bogus — was called in to Hudson Regional Hospital on July 18. During a search, bomb detection dogs led investigators to an unlocked office closet containing dozens of firearms.
Among the weapons were 11 handguns and 27 rifles or shotguns, according to police. The closet also contained a .45 caliber semi-automatic rifle with a high-capacity magazine that was determined to be an assault rifle, and a 14-round high-capacity handgun magazine.
The arrested the guy the next day.
What the heck do you think this guy was doing? It sounds very ominous that he was keeping those weapons there.

Heroic dad popped back hatch of sinking car to save daughters before he died (MSN.com)
Jon Paul Dowler, 52, died early Sunday morning after his car plunged into the frigid waters of Lake Macatawa in Ottawa County, MLive reported, citing police.
Investigators believe Dowler's car ended up in the water after he got lost driving on a dark road in south Park Township that descends to the lake, the report said.
As the front of the car began to go under, police said they think Dowler activated a hatch release from the front of the car so that his daughters, ages 8 and 10, could escape, according to Ottawa County sheriff's Lt. Eric Westveer.
"He was trying to break his windows to get out. It looks like he possibly popped" the hatch release to let his girls out, Westveer said. The hatch was found open when the submerged car was recovered.
The girls reached the shore around 2 a.m. soaking wet. Police said they looked around the neighborhood for help, but with many of the lake homes empty for the Winter they were forced to huddle together on a porch until daylight.
The sisters knocked on the front door of a home about 200 yards from the shore around 9 a.m.. They were still wearing their drenched clothes and had lost their shoes.
Police said they have spoken to the traumatized girls but it remains unclear where they were going or where they were coming from. The family is from Otsego, about a 40-mile drive southeast of Park Township.
"We're still trying to talk to the girls. It sounds like they were lost and disoriented. They were trying to get home,” Westveer said, adding that "it appears to be a pure accident.”

If an inventory of any former, high level government official's documents were to be conducted, I suspect that a small number of classified documents would be found. What is important to bear in mind, in my opinion, is what is done after they are discovered.

No I am not kidding. Why would saving lives be funny? And I made no racial specification. Apparently you did. Due to social media and political agendas, the police have been portrayed as angry and violent just waiting to use deadly force. It is beyond me if people are so fearful, why people act as they do when confronted by the police. You seem to be on the correct track when you mention "peaceful demonstrations". The police are very different than from that era and it is a false equivalent to suggest police behave the same way as they did before and during the Civil rights era.
First rule is, do not break the law, this is key. This will give you a 98% chance of not having to interact with police. 2nd rule is, follow instructions, be assertive but polite, let them know you are aware of your rights if you feel the interaction is unwarranted. . Do not run, try to grab their guns, shoot at them or otherwise act aggressively. Follow commands and take your grievances to court. It's very unlikely even if you come across a bad LEO they will be violent with you if you cooperate and follow instructions.
Parents, social media, political agenda and MSM have failed to properly convey this common sense to youth. So education in proper police etiquette may save lives. I'm less interested in defaming police, sympathizing with criminals for social media virtue points than I am in saving lives.

I'm sorry saving lives and reducing violent interactions by the police is "not worth it". I think saving lives is worth it.
Did you get video of these surrenders? Were there police complaints made? Antidotes are fine I suppose. Let me tell you I'm a POC. I keep my tags and license up to date. My car is in safe running condition. The times I've been pulled over it's because I was speeding. Another time I felt the stop was unwarranted. I kept my hands visible, answered questions and respectfully disagreed with the officer. He asked me out of the car because he was an arrogant jerk. I did as he said. He gave me a ticket, I beat it in court and he was sent to retraining due to my complaint. Now how do you think would have gone down if I was acting erratically? Resisting and being combative? Or if I tried to assault him and grab at his gun? Oh and I have been part of many protests. As soon as it turned violent or deemed unlawful by pol8ce, I left. Simple really.
I will not sympathize and cater to the idea that police are just out to arrest people and be violent. Why? Because that type of false rhetoric gets people killed. Police and citizens of all races. If that's a rant then so be it. Be safe.

Gun violence only matters when it fits the liberal profile. Black lives only matter when it fits their political agenda. They have no concern over the multitude of gun related deaths and mass shootings in places like Chicago because it's not Republicans committing these crimes. Or they can't push their gun control laws. In the meantime young black men die en mass. However apparently their lives don't matter. Being called racist by pointing it out matters more.
