What brand/type of shoe should I get?

Hi, I just started my first job as an RN - It's on a med/surg floor - and I was just wondering what you have found to be the most comfortable shoe/sneaker to wear. The sneakers I have are killing me after a shift of being on my feet the whole day, have you found anything that helps with some of the discomfort?

Thanks, Jennifer

Also I know it is a rare thing--- but the reason we had to have all leather shoes in nursing school was for the fact that if we dropped a needle (used or not) it would have a smaller chance of penetrating to your foot. Crocs raise that chance EEks

I am trying to find comfortable shoes for nursing school that are leather and are not sneakers or clogs. My problem is that I have a very tiny foot and most of the time wear a kid's size. Any one have any suggestions? I was hoping to wear Birkenstocks but they don't make my size in white and neither does Dansko

New Balance for me!! I have heard the crocs are great but the scuffing of feet people do in them drives me nuts. I have seen and heard the Dansko clogs are very good also but they run around $100.00. I also have a small foot, I wear 3 1/2 -4. Not alot of shoes that support like a womans shoe in kids sizes.

I love Dansko clogs! They run about $110.
