Hello,
For all the people who are taking anatomy in spring 2007, what book are you using? I just bought "Primary Anatomy" by John V. Basmajian. It's almost 400 pages!! I'll try to devote most of my vacation time to prepare for this class!
Anyone planning on doing the same?
Btw, I just found out about this forum!!
Thanks for being helpful!!
Saladin's 4th edition, form and function. Just a small $200.00....then lab same guy $30.00Our school used to use the Marieb's years ago, was much....cheaper
I will also be using this book this semester. Out of curiosity: Are you, (or anyone), also using the "Interactive Cadaver Dissection Experience" DVD set along with the text & lab manual?
Just found this site. Glad I did! Good luck to all of us this semester!!
I didn't need a book for Advanced A&P. Professor said that all tests will come from labwork and lecture but if we didn't have an A&P book to reference that we should get one. So I got Marieb A&P and my lab book is also Marieb.
The book used was $150 and I would have went to amazon.com for used, but classes start on the 8th and I wouldn't receive it in time for class.
We are using Elaine Mariab 7th Edition (Green cover with a tennis player)text and her Lab Manual (8th edition). The text and lab manual is awesome. The web resources for her book series are even better.
My only complaint it that the lab manual is spiral bound with small gauge wire...it takes a beating.
I don't want to even remember what I paid for these books. They came "bundled" with the web access key, coloring book and study guide....ouch!!

My A&P course is also using the newest Saladin book. I have not purchased it yet, it's $266 and I have been unable to find it elsewhere. I got an excellent deal on my chemistry books and the two "optional" books for A&P through Amazon and Barnes and Noble, but I cannot find another source for the big book. I even went to the publishers website (McGraw Hill) and still could not find it! Would you mind posting the ISBN from the back of the book? Good luck this semester!

I didn't like the binding of the lab book either.....so I just took the list of which labs we were doing last term and then ripped them out of the lab book. I used a paper cutter to clean up the ripped out edge, put it through a three whole punch and then put it in a binder. I sectioned off the binder so that the informational part of the chapters were together, then the lab exercises were next and made a third section with the photocopied key my teacher provided.
I didn't have to deal with the binding and I didn't have to carry around three terms worth of labs.
A&P2 starts Monday, as soon as I get this terms list of labs, I'll do the same thing.
Peace,
Cathie

I just purchased my text book and lab manual. $270.00. It looks to be laid out very nicely with good pictures and diagrams.
