0Hi, I'm starting on April 1st, 2016. Anybody here starting with me? I initially applied for the RN-BSN program but after thinking about it, I just decided to go for it and go straight to MSN with the hopes of finishing the program in at least 12-18 months. My start date was supposed to be March 1st but I was just told that I'll have to wait one more month.
My ultimate goal is to go to a NP program in CA by doing post Master's certificate. I'm not sure which schools would accept, though. I've been looking at other programs but the cost is just prohibitive at this point. I want to earn my MSN at least and go from there!
I emailed my enrollment counselor and she called me on the phone about a minute later! She's on the ball... She said they got new mentors and have opened new spots in the Jan., Feb., and March cohorts and offered me a spot if I wanted it.
After deliberating the possibility tonight, I've decided to stick with my April start date.
I'm a new nurse (started ft in June) working 12 hr shifts on an acute care floor. The stress sometimes leaves me zombified :dead:my first day off, then I'm normal for a day, and my last day off I just prepare to go back (laundry, food prep, etc.). I think I need some more time to adjust before I take on more schooling. I'll be ready by April!
I am interested in applying for the RN-MSN program. Does anyone have a referral code for the application fee waiver? I'd really appreciate it. Thanks.
No worries, as soon as you show interest in WGU someone from the school will email you a waiver code. They did me but I do have a code from someone if you need it though.
I'm hoping to start the BSN to MSN in Leadership in June or July. Fingers crossed!
