WGU RN-BSN 11/1/11 start

Who's starting WGU 11/1/11. I saw there was a thread for 10/1/11, figured we could start one for November.

Had my intake interview already, my transcripts have not been evaluated yet but am feeling the pressure to pay up by the 25th. Am afraid to pay then find my eval is unacceptable. (UTA and Chamberlain are my back-ups).

Depending on what the transcript eval says, I am hoping to get the BSN within the first term.

Central Florida.The website states that as long as the BSN is CCNE accredited that it is fine but I like to try and speak with a human being and the words "I just find the lack of GPA strange" was enough for me to change direction. Besides, I am a good test taker and know that I can get at least a 3.5 at EC so there it is. Will take me longer and cost me 8k instead of 4k but my ultimate goal is NP and I'll be really ticked if my choice in BSN program blocks me from it.

I was told that when a transcript is issued, that a GPA is also issued as a 3.0 on the transcript that is given.

This is what my mentor told me when I asked about it, and she is also a graduate of WGU.

True. The GPA is listed as a 3.0 at the bottom of the transcript but next to each class is a P not a grade so if anyone is looking to see where you may be stronger/weaker to determine your fitness they are in the dark. Thats how it was explained to me anyway. I'm just not willing to take a chance for a maximum 3.0.

Just had my phone call with the mentor 30 minutes ago. Should have access to course work tomorrow (11/1). Said I should be able to look at my complete course plan so I can budget time.

You will be fine. If only I did not have to wait till next friday for my mentor to open up classes for me. I feel like I should get stuff done now while I still have steam.

I know that feeling. I took 12 credits worth of exams on one Saturday and then nothing for 3 months. Hang in there :)

KOT1...Submitted, awaiting results (Organization systems and Quality leadership)

I love reading this thread! I'm in an ADN program and may graduate December 2012, so if I did do this program I might not start until Feb or March 2013.

The "bio chem" class listed on their website kind of scared me too, but it seems like you can just take a regular chemistry class and not have to take that one? Also I think I'll want to go ahead and take nutrition ahead of time instead of having to take at WGU.
