Hello all , we started on 5-26-09 with 66 students . We are currently in the 3rd level ( there's 4 levels) and sadly we are down to 22 students, I was so surprised that so many people dropped some due to grades and some personal reasons . I was just wondering if u all have this problem at your school or is it just mine. We don't graduate until 9-1-10 but at the rate we're going we could have our graduation ceremony in a telephone booth.
We started our LPN with 40 students and graduated 26. When the RN year started we were again up to 41 with a lot of new transition students. We were down to 19 as of the end of the fall 2009 semester. This semester we have 20 starting (gained one who failed this semester last year). At the rate we're going we could join the OP in the telephone booth. And we are only 1 week into the spring semester. It really does humble you and makes you feel like you are constantly walking on egg shells. Just keep thinking 15 more weeks to graduation, just keep my head above water for 15 more weeks.
We started in Sept with 30 students, on day 2 we were down to 29 (yeah, someone left after 1 day!). We adopted another student in their place, and lost 2 more shortly after (time has been flying so fast, not exactly sure on the time line). We then adopted another new student, so we were up to 28 by the end of the semester. We lost another one due to grade issues over our break, so as of now we have 27.
Nursing school has definitely been an eye opener to everyone! If you don't take it seriously, you will not pass!

Christine2009,
You should also Spell-Check before you post.... "Probally" is one of your spelling errors!
