Westminster Nurse Anesthesia 2018

Published

Anyone applying to Westminster this year? I know their clinicals are a little all over the place, but does anyone know if all the states belong to the compact nursing license states? Anyone have advice on interviews for them? Thanks!

I applied....completed an acute care nurse practitioner program this past may, graduated with a 3.91 GPA. I completed Advance Health Assessment (grade A) , Pathophysiology (grade A) , Pharmacology (grade A-), Statistics (A-) Research (A) I am an active member of the Sigma Theta Tau International Nursing society . I currently work in a busy CTICU/SICU and have a little bit under a year of experience (by the start of program I will have 1 year and 6 months experience) I do have my CCRN, PCCN, TNCC certifications

Why are you changing career paths if you don't mind me asking?

Specializes in CRNA.

Hi ICUman, are you applying as well? Last year you were interested in OHSU...

Hi. This round I won't be applying to Westminster. Future, maybe. Yeah...OHSU seems uber competitive. Great program though. I actually have been in contact with Collin regarding the anesthesia program earlier this year. He's quite helpful. They have an ADN- CRNA special admission track that I was discussing with him.

Anyway, no I'm not applying. But I wish you and the others best of luck! I have a friend who graduated from their program and she speaks highly of it. I used to work up in SLC, too. Great place.

OHSU is getting more and more competitive every year-as are all the schools around. I feel like every year the amount of applications increases by 50. And thanks! I was going to apply last year and didn't. I should have. I am hoping this year is good news.

Fingers crossed for ya. Career choice super secure for the future with a great income. The hard work to achieve it is so worthwhile. I dated a CRNA for awhile and loved geeking out on all the technical conversations...it really is a dream career.

Just bumping the thread. With first interviews to be held in 14 days or less, we should hear something soon. And with about 2000 views in this thread I imagine more people here have applied and are also waiting for information.

good luck !!!

Has anyone heard anything or have any updates on the timeline for interview offers? It seems we should have heard something being the interview is less than 2-weeks away. Anybody?

No. Nothing yet. And Collin is out of the office for the rest of the week...
