Westminster Nurse Anesthesia 2018

Published

Anyone applying to Westminster this year? I know their clinicals are a little all over the place, but does anyone know if all the states belong to the compact nursing license states? Anyone have advice on interviews for them? Thanks!

The 700 words is just for the actual essay question. The other questions are the diversity questions and are answered separately.

Are those questions/instructions on the college website or CAS?

So today is DDay. Do you have any idea how long it takes to hear from Westminster and when interviews might be if we're selected?

I just received an email saying that they are extending the deadline a week because the background check service is located in N. Carolina and is down because of the Hurricane Florence .... I don't know how they do their invites, but I do know they have interview dates set on Oct 5, 25 and two in Nov. So they would have to send out those first ones fairly soon, I would think but really just a guess.

Awww really?! But that storm just hit...lol. They were supposed to have those results some time ago.. Geeeze. I feel bad for Carolina and all but come on... delay for a week!!?? That storm is supposed to be hitting for another 36 hours and then there's the aftermath... Probably be at least a week before they're up and running... If they don't push back the interviews then it's gonna be tight scheduling a flight out there last minute. The suspense was already killing me and Friday wasn't even finished yet. I hate waiting

I think I am getting used to the waiting. Maybe they will start going through the complete application? I am still waiting for that snail mail letter to get added to my application so I don't mind so much. :)

I don't know what's more concerning, the extra wait time or the fact I didn't get that email you're talking about. Was it a single email sent to you in reply or was it a blast email to all applicants. Cause I didn't get it...

I would take that as a good sign! I have a coworker that is also applying to the program. She received the email too. She started on her application on Sept 1st, so was scrambling to get everything in. She called Friday and was told her application was complete, but still received the email. It came from Collin's email, but it didn't sound like him and didn't have his usual signature, which makes me think it was sent from admissions... IDK. I am going to get in touch with Collin on Monday afternoon (hopefully after the mail has been sorted and delivered) to see what's going on. But again, I am not too worried about it. I have both of the interview dates off of work, the only bad thing would be an expensive plane ticket....an extra shift would take care of that. :)

Any word from mister Collin?

I spoke with him today, he says we will hear back end of September/ beginning of October. First interview date is October 8th so id assume before that.

Thanks for the update...Ok well that's not too bad... I guess I'll just have to find something to occupy my mind to help from being even more of a nervous wreck...lol
