I, being the impatient person that I am, decided to make a thread to discuss the upcoming cycle of applications for Western University of Health Sciences, Masters of Science in Nursing Entry program.
A little about me, my undergrad is a B.S. in Public Health, but I always was interested in the nursing field. After getting my CNA license I decided that this was the field for me and want to eventually go on to become a Nurse Practitioner. I've been working on my application and I'm very nervous/excited to hear back (even though that seems forever away haha). Anyone else applying for this cycle, and if so what are your thoughts on the program??
I interviewed on the last day of interviews possible one of the people who originally didn’t get an interview then got placed on the alternate list today. Agh wish I would’ve gotten in
I was rejected by Western but was put on the waitlist at Rush, who do provide you with your number of the waitlist so you have an idea of how much of a chance you have of getting in. Not sure this helps but fyi.
CONGRATS to those who got in! Looking forward to meeting you all ?. I think we will be in Cohort 2? and good luck to those waiting to hear back from other schools. We will all make great nurses one day !! ?
I was put on the alternate list too! I think At the interview they said they wouldn’t tell us where we were on the list but it might be worth a call.
Hi! I also go placed on the alternate list. And I think you're right. I remember the staff saying that we won't know our place on the alternate list. From the admissions guidebook we received the day of our interview, it says that "alternates are not ranked; alternate files will be reviewed for consideration of an offer of acceptance as needed". Hope this helps!
