Hi all!
I, being the impatient person that I am, decided to make a thread to discuss the upcoming cycle of applications for Western University of Health Sciences, Masters of Science in Nursing Entry program.
A little about me, my undergrad is a B.S. in Public Health, but I always was interested in the nursing field. After getting my CNA license I decided that this was the field for me and want to eventually go on to become a Nurse Practitioner. I've been working on my application and I'm very nervous/excited to hear back (even though that seems forever away haha). Anyone else applying for this cycle, and if so what are your thoughts on the program??
Looking forward to hearing from you all!

I believe it's 2 weeks from the day of acceptance. ?
I checked my portal too and I was accepted! Although I have not received an email or the physical acceptance packet yet. Has anyone else received one?!
Congrats on those who got in as well and good luck to those interviewing! I can’t wait to attend in the fall and join the WesternU family ?
So...I got my rejection email on Tuesday. I had spoken to Alberto the previous week, and he seemed surprised that I didn't get an interview bc he felt my application was strong. He quickly reviewed my application and told me there was one slightly negative comment in my letter that the admissions people had flagged. While I was a little miffed, I didn't hold it against them. Out of the seven schools I applied to, I have been interviewed by three schools, waitlisted at one (single digit), and accepted to three (including my number #2, USD). So I was fine with this rejection.
Alberto called me on Friday saying that he wanted to offer me an interview, and they took back my rejection. He also said that I no longer had to redo those two courses they asked me to do (Anatomy and Physiology I and II). He said that he felt I should be considered for admission despite the initial review of my application. It seems like Alberto decided to advocate for some of us on our behalf, and went to the Director of Admissions to petition that we get offered an interview. So I guess hope is not lost yet. I'm not sure if they are doing this just to save face, or if they are actually considering us now. But I'll hopefully see some of you on Friday March 6!
