Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hi all!

I, being the impatient person that I am, decided to make a thread to discuss the upcoming cycle of applications for Western University of Health Sciences, Masters of Science in Nursing Entry program.

A little about me, my undergrad is a B.S. in Public Health, but I always was interested in the nursing field. After getting my CNA license I decided that this was the field for me and want to eventually go on to become a Nurse Practitioner. I've been working on my application and I'm very nervous/excited to hear back (even though that seems forever away haha). Anyone else applying for this cycle, and if so what are your thoughts on the program??

Looking forward to hearing from you all!

Congratulations. Good luck with your interview.

Congrats!!!

Did you apply early as well? ?

Congrats best of luck!!!!

No I believe I applied the day before as well!

Thanks so much! ?

Early acceptance opportunity interviews were reportedly based on GPA. not the date when an application was submitted. Once they selected candidates they wanted to provide interviews for based on an application holistic review, people who had a cumulative and pre-requisite GPA above 3.5 are extended EAO interviews. Everyone else should be given a regular interview.

Alberto told me this in December.

Thank you for the information. Okay then I will just wait for an email because I know my GPA is above 3.5.

I got an email with an invitation to EAO day as well. For those that received that, did you have 2 dates to choose from?

Yes, it only gave me the 29th and the 31st to choose from.

Congratulations guys! Just wondering for EAO day, do you know if they based your GPA off of overall GPA or last 60 units only?

Anyone else confused about why they didn’t get an early acceptance if it’s based on GPA?

Me, I am confused lol. But I am just going to wait it out especially since Alberto is out of office.

I’m glad I’m not alone. Feeling disheartened.

Don't feel disheartened. Did you check the status page? Someone said they didn't receive an email but saw the invite on their status page. I checked mine and don't see anything so I am not sure what is going on.
