Western University MSN-E Application Time!

Well, I thought this day would never come, but the application period for Western U's MSN-E program starts a week from today!

I'm beyond nervous, as I've been working on this career change for over three years now. Every time I write a little of my personal statement I get a little shaky. This is so unlike me too, I'm usually cool as a cucumber.

Anyone else here planning to apply for 2012? Are you as nervous as I am?

Lab is cool, 1st semester is not too intense (for me) its just that its different learning environment than most people are accustomed to. If you have more questions, I suggest you join the facebook group there are like 5 of us in the program who are in that group and we will answer most you questions. The others don't really check this site out and they may have a different view than I do.

hey maxpower77, thanks again for all the wonderful info. Can you tell me a little more about how exams are as in every week or if there is ATI testing at the end of each quarter? I have been told by several friends in various programs that there is a certain percentage passing rate like 73% overall or certain standardized test that need a certain percentage to move on. Also do you know the name for the fb page?thanks again

The FB page is WesternU Msn-E class of 2016. We generally have something due every week a quiz, a test, or a paper.

So now that the official application deadline has passed anyone have an idea of when we should hear about interviews? I read through last years posts but wondering how it might differ this year given the extended deadline. I am going to send Elaine at Western an email this week. I would have to fly to CA for an interview so I am hoping for some advanced notice. Of course I am hoping to just get an interview first! I have a phone interview this week for another school. Hoping that goes well!

I thought they had extended the application period last year as well? I could be wrong...

I was reading through and thought that we will be notified sometime in January and that interviews will last until feb possible march, and we will find out at the end of march?

I applied last year and got notified of interviews in mid January, had the interview in late January, and was notified of the admissions decision in early March.

I got in...they told me they took 60/340 applicants last year.
