I didn't see a thread, so I started one.
I am planning on applying this fall for the Direct Entry MSN program. Anyone else?

To be honest, Western was my number one choice until the interview process. The disorganization and lack of communication made me feel a little uneasy, as well as the talk about changing the program's structure. I have heard amazing things about Western but when I interviewed for the USD MEPN program I was extremely impressed with everything they had to offer. I felt like they were trying to impress the applicants as much as we were trying to impress them. It was these minor differences that ultimately led me to my decision to go there instead. Plus it allowed me to open a seat for one of you very deserving applicants. :)
Congrats! And I wish you the best!!! Thank you for thinking of us!

You're both very welcome. This board has been so supportive and helpful that I hope everyone gets in somewhere.

So now that people from the alternate list are getting accepted, it is making me incredibly anxious again. Good grief.

I hear ya Bees!!! This has been quite the roller coaster ride.
I agree!!! :-(
Sorry guys. I thought it would be helpful to let you know they are working on sending out letters sooner than July. Didn't mean to add to the uneasiness.
No worries dnhumphries! I appreciate the info and am relieved they are trying to send out letters sooner than July. The majority of my anxiety has dissipated since I realized and accepted the reality of the situation. I just hope I haven't settled in to my new home in Hawaii when I get the letter from Western that says I'm accepted from the alternate list.

hello everyone
i was accepted off of the alternate list. from what i understand, the school did things differently from last year. they sent out as many acceptances as they had spots and then waited until the response deadline (april 1st) to send out acceptances to people on the alternate list.
they also said they expect to pull a lot more from the alternate list than they have in the past due to their new method so there is definitely hope for everyone on the alternate list!
good luck to everyone! i hope the best for AN nation :)

Hi fatcat313
I was wondering when they sent you your acceptance letter did they mention a date that you would need to reply by? Just trying to figure if that might be the next time they send out more acceptances to people on the alternate list.
