I'll be graduating from LVN school in November and want to go on to an LVN-RN program. I haven't done any RN pre-requisites and, at age 50, don't want to take the time to do so... so I'm looking for a program with "built in" pre-reqs. I'm curious about West Coast University but can't find much info about it. Please tell me what you know about it... thanks!
futurenurse,
yes, my total cost came out to 93,000 with financial aid and everything, but you will have to go in and talk to your financial aid person about what your situation is, even if you did do the same pre reqs it all depends on what they accept and they will explain to you the actual cost for every class and what you are eligable for. and yes that is my ultimate goal as well to be a crna , so i was excited to hear that wcu's b.s.n. is accepted by csuf’s anesthetist program. let me know if you have anymore questions.
hope this helps,
lyssa
Thank you for replying! b/c i already took the hesi and passed but i got scared about the price 116! but now that i know it goes down over 20,000 i will meet up with financial aid in a while b/c im still finishing off a semester a cc. Hopefully all my pre reqs will be transfered! Thanks again!
No problem, I'm still finishing up my last semester at a community college too! But once you turn in all of your official transcripts within a week you should know what classes they will take and won't except (even the ones in progress). I would recomend meeting with the financial aid advisor after that, that way you know your exact graduation date, prices and what not. With all the pre reqs I have done I am graduating 5 terms early :) What campus are you thinking about going to, and when do you think you will start? I am going to the OC campus and I start in Aug.
lyssa,
Im going to go to the la campus cuz its only like 6 miles away from me and i am missing biochem and they said it is full till dec so i would have to wait till then if i end up going there for sure. I wanted to start june after my semester but like i said the biochem class is full right now till the end of the year! i hope that all my classes are acceptd at wcu! :)
Just kidding everyone, I'm def starting in June... sorry about that I got confused I guess. I pretty much have a schedule with the classes I am going to take and the terms that they will be in and when I will be graduating, but I have no idea the days and times any of my classes for the first term. I am pretty sure every term there is an orientation for each class, and that is where they discuss that stuff and the books etc. this takes place a few weeks before the term starts. Congratulations luckystar you must be excited! I am so excited about starting I just have to get through the rest of their pre-reqs and I get to start on the nursing stuff :)

"I am trying to get approved without a cosigner from wells fargo, but if I need a cosigner I was just going to do the parent plus loan. Everything is still kind of in the wood works, and no I did not call any other schools
Cal State Fullerton's Anesthetist program was really the only one I was interested in, they do have other programs there too, so I figure if they accept WCU's BSN for the CRNA school, then the PA school should probably accept it too."
Hello, I wanted to know if you ment that Cal State Fullerton Anesthetist program does accept West Coast University B.S.N. graduates? B/C that is my ultimate nursing goal to become a crna and i was not sure if my opptions would be very open if i do end up going to WCU.... Well thank you!
