I'll be graduating from LVN school in November and want to go on to an LVN-RN program. I haven't done any RN pre-requisites and, at age 50, don't want to take the time to do so... so I'm looking for a program with "built in" pre-reqs. I'm curious about West Coast University but can't find much info about it. Please tell me what you know about it... thanks!
I'm going to be taking the HESI entrance exam at WCU in a couple of days and was wondering if anyone knew if the medical terms in the study guide were going to be a part of it. Because the representative at WCU told me it was just math and reading, but I forgot to confirm with her if these terms were included. So if anyone that took the HESI for the WCU BSN program please tell me. thanks : )
BTW, how do you pose a new thread. I can't find it lol.
Also, did anyone graduate from west coast university and get hired at any good hospitals, and if so how long after graduation did it take u to get hired? Im pretty sure i will go to wcu but im scared about the 116 k, im afraid i wouldnt get hired right away, and also what is the average anual income for a bsn cuz i wanna figure out how much i would be taking home after paying big monthly amounts to pay off student loans if i do go to wcu
yes, wcu in la. as soon as ur done taking it they send u to the addmissions rep and they let u know ur score, i got 82.24, i could of done better but got lazy and tried to rush through, the test is about 2 to 4 hours, depending on how long u take, but honestly i studied 2 days b4 test and still passed, just review all the math, most is simple, and review the medical terms and english terms, its not very hard at all.
Is anyone going to the OC campus for the BSN program starting in April 13? I've been waiting since November to get my transcripts evaluated so that I know how many classes would transfer, and they've put it on "hold" for some reason. Apparently, they're short staffed. The starting date is so close, and I've yet to secure my financials (private student loans). I need to know the final tuition cost before I apply for any loans. I thought about transferring to the LA campus instead, since I heard they are better staffed and organized. I don't know for sure though. Anyone out there feeling this negligence? I'm getting second thoughts.
Maybe you should transfer to the la campus, is it closer to you? its worth going to the campus that is closer to you, but so far i have not had that problem, though i still need to figure out what classes are transferable for me as well, i got an appointment for the financial aid soon. have you met up with the financial aid person yet?
Hi everyone,
I also have been having a hard time getting in touch with anyone at the anaheim campus. Does anyone know what the school's break schedule is? The school i am currently attending has spring break from the 16th-20th of march and since i'm not from the area i was going to travel down there to attend an info session and take the HESI during that time but i haven't been able to talk to anyone to confirm that school and staff would actually be available that week. I'd hate to make travel plans and then not be able to do anything productive with the school so if anyone knows if they'll be on spring break that week as well please let me know!

Hi everyone,
It's been really informative reading all of your posts about this school so i wanted to say thank you! I heard from the LA representative that WCU is getting inspected for a regional accreditation in April, has anyone else heard this? And if its true do you know what the odds are of them actually receiving it? Thank you so much for any information you are able to share!
