  1. I took the HESI Comprehensive with a score of 95% and passed my NCLEX first try. I thought NCLEX q's were easier than HESIs or ATIs
  2. Hey I already graduated from there. It's a new BSN program, so there are a lot of perks that they had to test and reevaluate throughout the time i was there. So, to go there requires a lot of flexibility since you're pioneering through their program. A lot has changed as far as the program goes. For example, they used to have us test out of every core classes with HESIs and it used to be do or die. lets say you're getting an A in the class prior to taking the final HESI, but then you fail the HESI (you get two tries)..failing it can make your A an F. So you have to repeat the entire class over. Now it's just the ATIs, which i think are easier than HESIs and it only counts for part of your grade. I think it's unfair to make us go through all those rigorous testings, but in the end I think it was all worth the stress since, as far as I know, everyone's passed the NCLEX the first try! Gluck!
  3. Is an RN license required to apply? I just graduated and have yet to take the boards.
  4. Hi Rose, I'm taking the same class, but just started last week. I'm going to take my test tomorrow. You're right, the book is huge and heavy!! I wanted to know if you took a test yet and how was it? Was it hard and were you able to find the answers in the book? More info would be a great help. I just don't know what to expect either. Thanks!
  5. Are you going to Anaheim?? If so, I'll see you there! I'm still so bummed about the cost. It's so much.
  6. Hey there, The HESI exam is pretty simple. Basic math, some medical terms for vocabs, basic science, and reading. I forget what else...I think that's it. Depending on what program you're doing it's a different %age. I took it for the BSN program and you need to score an OVERALL 80%. This was back in November, so I don't know if there's been a change. I doubt it.It's score by points, 1 point per question. I didn't really study for it. The counselor gave me a book to review from the of the exam. All I needed to brush up on was math. I forgot all of those fractions. Also, know how to do percentages. It shouldn't be too bad. Just do the study manual. It should help. Good Luck!
  7. Is anyone going to the BSN Registration this March 9th? It's for the April 13th start.
  8. Hi thanks for the heads up about the csuf. did you call any other programs? and which bank did did you take out a loan from? i'm still looking for the best rates. Thanks
  9. Yea, I'm from the Bay area. I don't think there's a roommate finder for this particular school...I talked to Linda (the OC adviser) and she practically said that she can set me up with people that are also looking for housing. So, that's something to think about. I just spoke with an admin who evaluates transcripts and I have 24 units that will transfer (sweeet). I have to test out of 2 classes though, math & psych. They said my Psych1 class is 5 years old, even though I took it in fall of 2003. I took Calculus, but it doesn't count. And stats would only transfer once I get credit for that alegbra class. Oh well, I'm pretty happy about that...I don't have to pay the full 116,000! whew!
  10. sorry for the late reply, but you must've have gone to the Financial aid part already. Did you get all the info you needed? and..Yes, I'm all set to go to the OC campus instead of LA...i figure it's cheaper to live there. I'm relocating from NorCal...so either location is far enough to not matter. But yea, I still don't know what classes that will transfer and I still don't know who/where I'm going to live!! Lol.
  11. Is anyone going to the OC campus for the BSN program starting in April 13? I've been waiting since November to get my transcripts evaluated so that I know how many classes would transfer, and they've put it on "hold" for some reason. Apparently, they're short staffed. The starting date is so close, and I've yet to secure my financials (private student loans). I need to know the final tuition cost before I apply for any loans. I thought about transferring to the LA campus instead, since I heard they are better staffed and organized. I don't know for sure though. Anyone out there feeling this negligence? I'm getting second thoughts.
  12. Hi, I was just wondering if your orientation and registration on different days? Were they mandatory. I'm going to start for the BSN program in April @ Anaheim. I'm hours away from the area and I just want to know if it is necessary to spend more money to fly down there for something I can do online. Lastly, how are your classes going? Is everyone in your class ONLY from your ADN program?
  13. HI!! did any of you end up going to WCU?? I'd like to know if it's going well.
