There are a lot of people who work as nurses, and no one really know's what goes on behind closed doors. Just like when I was growing up, I thought life was like the brady bunch, or eight is enough, and let me tell you it is NOT. I am so sorry for her, it is no easy plight going to nursing school, and to lose it over an addiction is even sadder. My sympathy.
Yes a sad story especially considering the young child.
Nursing is so just stressful. When I hear of RN's facing licensure issues after a slow spiral downhill...I always wish someone could have intervened and gotten the nurse some help in the early stages. This charge nurse could now be in for the fight of her life.....Fighting an addiction and trying to keep her license, finances and family intact.

a few months ago i wrote a post that one of our charge nurses called work drunk ... well today she came to work drunk and was fired... i was not at work today but heard this from one of the other nurses , she called me and told me the whole horrible story...
they are reporting her to the board , and i am not sure of they drug tested her....
i am shocked and thought she would never do this... she is a nice person and i am sorry she did this...
thank you for letting me vent
