I did not see any thread on May 2010 support group, so I decided to form a forum for us to share our view, plan and how to pass for the test. As we all prayer for each other to continue with this journey I wish everyone who is taking NCLEX-RN and NCLEX-LVN/LPN.
Join the excellent group!!:hrns&wlcm:

"Holy Spirit,
Thou make me see everything
and show me the way to reach my ideal.
You who will give the divine gift
to forgive and forget the wrong that is done to me
and who are in all instances of my life with me.
I, in this short dialogue, want to thank You for everything
and confirm once more that I never want to be separated from You
no matter how great the material desire may be.
I want to be with You and my loved ones in Your perpetual glory, Amen
Satnam waheguru God please help us all.
So come on board all futures RN's and LVN's let's rock this NCLEX together.

what is the PVT trick all about? i take my test in july and keep hearing about it??
I think they're talking about this one..check this out.Pearsonvue . Is this TRUE? Does it Work Every Time?? - Nursing for Nurses
Gold22- i am only using Kaplan and Saunders. I dont know if i will add more. i only have 3weeks before my exam. i read many are using Lacharity, but i still dont know if i have time to squeeze it in on my sched. I still have to work on the remaining 40% of QBANK, readiness test QT 5, 6 & 7. i am doing 150-200 Qbank a day and reviewing their rationales.
I read that may were scoring 50-60% only on their kaplan qtrainers/bank but they passed the nclex!!! but i know that they had the old test plan. that's why we should try to raise our scores more to pass the new one ! :) ryt?

Hi! You still have the time. Just be consistent and focus. I started at first with low scores using Saunders but I kept on going and push more that I can improve the scores. I made it the second attempt with this new and improved scoring of NCLEX but I kept on practicing and reading the rationales.
Good luck and you can do it.
My suggestion to those of you who don't think you have time for LaCharity is to put down your other books for a couple of days the week before your test and focus on those questions. I only did the multiple choice/SATA questions out of the book (don't worry about the case studies in section 3). This book was seriously a life saver and nothing compared to the questions Saunders and Kaplan give you (Yes, I have experience with using both). They really make you think and while I didn't get the best scores on each of the chapters (40% on a couple of them) it really taught me how to critically think and determine which patients were my priority and what I could and could not delegate to certain staff!!!
Hope everyone is doing well. I took my NCLEX-RN this morning. After failing my first attempt at 265 questions I decided not to tell anyone except my husband when I would be testing again. I spent over a month reading and answering questions out of Saunders and then got the 3-week subscription to the Learning Ext as well as using the LaCharity book (this is seriously a must have). An hour and half after sitting down at the computer and 75 questions later I left the testing center so nervous that it took them 6 tries to get a match of my palm vein. I just got the courage to do the PVT trick and got the good pop-up. I'm SO overjoyed.Good luck to all of you and never give up on your dreams of becoming a nurse.
Congrats:yeah::yeah:
. Finally:nurse:. I am encouraged.
Hi everyone!
I took mine last May 4, and still waiting for my mail.I'm afraid to do the pvt,and rather have the mail, so the waiting is making me sleepless.
I got so nervous on that day while doing my fingerprint and palm vein, until starting my test.I have a palpitations, that after awhile,it subsides then my concentrations all focused on answering questions which I find it hard for me to
have a final answer.I had a break after 2 hours still on number 60.I deliberately not glancing my number but I am sure it was past 75 ,maybe on 80's when my screen goes blue, calculating on the time from my break.
I was so sick after my test, stomach trouble, colds and cough.I don't know why.
That was my 2nd attempt, and hoping and praying that I passed.

Hi Kaplanbaby,
I already complete all the Q-bank, average around 50%
.
the Q- trainer I only complete 1-6, average 50-58%. I will practice my Q-trainer 7, one week before sit down for the nclex, hopefully the score will above 60%. anyway, tomorrow I will start using mosby CD to practice more..
I'm agree with you the kaplan average 50-60% is not good especially with the new test plan. I'm nervous too
How many question have you done per day? any other review book beside kaplan?
Study hard.
