Welcome NCLEX February 2011 Test Takers

Published

I did not see any thread on February 2011 support group, so I decided to form a forum for us to share our view, plan and how to pass for the test. As we all prayer for each other to continue with this journey I wish everyone who is taking NCLEX-RN and NCLEX-LVN/LPN.

Join the excellent group!

Good luck to everybody testing in February.

Here is the plan and we have a 1+month.

Here is my plan finishing the Saunders CD (fourth edition)

Do the Exam cram CD (1000 questions)

Do the NCLEX 3500 and with all the prayers to pass this NCLEX.

"Holy Spirit,

Thou make me see everything

and show me the way to reach my ideal.

You who will give the divine gift

to forgive and forget the wrong that is done to me

and who are in all instances of my life with me.

I, in this short dialogue, want to thank You for everything

and confirm once more that I never want to be separated from You

no matter how great the material desire may be.

I want to be with You and my loved ones in Your perpetual glory, Amen God please help us all.

So come on board all futures RN's and LVN's let's rock this NCLEX together.

finished about an hour ago. took me just about 2 hours, and test stop at the minimum questions. I had about 10-15 SATA some of them back to back, many priority, and many teaching. 1 calc question, and ya that was it..Lot of infection control / precautions (4 of my sata were like that). I feel pretty good about it, I know there were some things there werent even medically related on the test i had no clue about, and then a lot of things that were just really ez and i couldntbelieve i was getting them..

What material did you use to study and how long did you study? I'm taking mine next month.

I used Saunder's 4th Edition CD questions, Kaplan Review Bank, and Kaplan Review book. Ive been studying since december, Everyday, atleast 5 hours a day, 7 days a week, never a break for those 2 months. ive probably done more than 3500 questions in that time, and i read whatever i didnt understand, either looking online or in my books. I studied mostly on Cardiac/Endocrine/Renal/Resp as i thought those were the most important and where i was weak in, and i know im still weak in cardiac drugs and a lot of their actions, just so hard to remember without actually getting the hands on daily experience of using them. I would say the key is questions, and reading and understand why you got it wrong, If i got the question wrong but knew the process, i related it to how i actually went about answering the question in the first place.

I also just focused on how to break down the questions, if They were data collection questions, i just looked to the expected value/assessment answer that correlated with the question. Process/planning questions I just lookd for the subject of the question and lookd for the answer that was preventing/promoting and safest. Stuff like that, actually really helpd with a lot of questions that had my scratching my head. ABC's and Maslow's with questions that had a priority or best

:yeah::yeah::yeah: CONGRATS!!!! :nurse::nurse::nurse:

Thanks for the information. I am using the Saunders book and CD and the NCLEX 4000 CD. I am also studying everyday, hopefully I'll do well on the exam. All the best with your career.

Congrats to all of you that have passed in February. I've been lurking on this thread for the last few weeks now, and reading many of your posts have been very inspiring. I take mine next Friday 3/4/11, and the nerves are building. I'm trying to stay calm and relaxed but I'm ready to get it over with and hopefully be able to finally call myself a RN. Thanks for all the positive vibes and please pass some of your luck to those taking it in March!
