  1. Thank for posting, this is very useful information. I am interested in a WAH positing (part time/per diem) for evenings and/ weekends. Any ideas on companies I could look at?
  2. You need to apply to have your education evaluated by your state. Then if it is a a level equate lent to that of the US then they will allow you to take the NCLEX exam.
  3. Does anyone know the salary for a nurse case manager/ nurse coordinator at Sunshine Health and South Florida Community Care Network? Does CCM certification makes a difference in pay? I am a RN with a Bachelors degree. Thank you!
  4. I recently received a position on a post-partum/Nursery unit and will be starting in a week. I would like to know how i can repare myself to start my orientation. I would like to be prepared as much as possible because i do not want to feel like a fish out of water. what can i expect? what can i do to prepare myself? Any information is welcome.
  5. I got the job the old fashioned way. I applied for a position on their website and was called in by the unit manager for an interview about a month later. I took the earliest interview date and prepared myself for the interview, and showed up early with a positive attitude. I was offered the position three days later.
  6. I was also offered a position at AMC and will be starting next month. I would like to know of areas that are close by the hospital that are nice and safe, where i could rent a 2br apartment. currently i do not have a car and will be working the night shift and sometimes evenings. Please let me know ASAP. Thanks in advance.
  7. I'm a new nurse as well and will be working the night shift starting next month. At this point i'm just happy that i got a job. I wouldnt mind gaining a few extra pounds on the night shift either because i'm pretty skinny. i'm just a bit concerned that it may not be quiet when i get home in the mornings to sleep. After working for a year you can move to the day shift if you dont like the night.
  8. Thanks for the advise, i applied to Bassett Medical Center. I'll continue to search the internet everyday for jobs. Hopefully i'll find something soon.
  9. I'm a new BSN RN and I have been trying real hard to get a job both upstate and in the city. I currently live in Ulster county but im willing to relocate for a full time poition. Does anyone know of a medical facility that is willing to hire a new RN? I am not too picky with salary, i just need to get the 1 year experience out of the way.
  10. I applied to both Orange Regional Medical Center and Hudson Valley Heath Alliance and i'm still waiting for an interview. I recetly got my license and i have a BSN. I am real woried that i will not be able to get a job. At this point it seem that having experience is much more impotant to them than a BSN or Associate. I have been told by so many places that i must have at least a year experience before they will even consider me for a positon. Hopfully i'll be able to get a job soon.
  11. What was the interview like? Did you have to do a pharmacology exam? How is your experience so far? Thanks
  12. Please can you send me the La Charity practice questions. [email protected]
  13. Congratulations on your new job. I am considering applying to Kingston Hospital as well. What is the starting pay for BSN new grads?
  14. HI, I am thinking about applying to Kingston or Benidictine Hospital. I am currently preparing to take the exam at the end of this month. Do you think I should apply now or should I wait until I get my license? I am interested in neonetal intensive care but I have never seen any of those position posted. How do I go about applying for such position? What is it likE working there? Any advice would help thanks in advance.
  15. Thanks for the information. I am using the Saunders book and CD and the NCLEX 4000 CD. I am also studying everyday, hopefully I'll do well on the exam. All the best with your career.
