I did not see any thread on February 2011 support group, so I decided to form a forum for us to share our view, plan and how to pass for the test. As we all prayer for each other to continue with this journey I wish everyone who is taking NCLEX-RN and NCLEX-LVN/LPN.
Join the excellent group!
Good luck to everybody testing in February.
Here is the plan and we have a 1+month.
Here is my plan finishing the Saunders CD (fourth edition)
Do the Exam cram CD (1000 questions)
Do the NCLEX 3500 and with all the prayers to pass this NCLEX.
"Holy Spirit,
Thou make me see everything
and show me the way to reach my ideal.
You who will give the divine gift
to forgive and forget the wrong that is done to me
and who are in all instances of my life with me.
I, in this short dialogue, want to thank You for everything
and confirm once more that I never want to be separated from You
no matter how great the material desire may be.
I want to be with You and my loved ones in Your perpetual glory, Amen God please help us all.
So come on board all futures RN's and LVN's let's rock this NCLEX together.
hello everybody, how is your studying come along?
i want to take my test at the end of february, but still unsure. i am trying to follow my study daily & i want to make sure i complete what resources i have because i have failed more than twice & its been very discouraging. but god has pulled me through each time to get up & do it again!
right now, i am reading saunders comprehensive review 5th ed & the all nurses bullets on here & the frye's 3300. (content) i feel like i need to brush on my content than doing > q's
after that, i want to do the saunders cd, la charity book.
i wish you all the best & good luck studying! may god give you all the strength & perservance because i know i need it, esp when you've failed.
good luck & you all can do it!:redpinkhe
im taking mine on feb. 7/2011 ( nclex pn). im studying from exam cram 2nd ed., lacharity, and mary ann hogan comprehensive review for nclex, also prayer. im so very exicited to be taking this test and somewhat scared but somewhat not. ive been studying for nclex for 2 months non-stop:dzed: . what i do is 100 questions or more a day but atleast 100. i go through the subjects i feel like i need more reviewing in. this week is all about infection control.. and so on. i read the rational when answering questions and also google what i dont know. internet is a big help to me. when i study questions i make sure there application and analysis type questions. good luck to everyone with the nclex rn/pn. we got it through school we can get through this one test.
I'm hoping to take the NCLEX in Feb 2011 as well. My original plan was to take it this month, but I still haven't received my ATT so i'm guessing it will be happening in Feb instead. I just started studying last week but right now my plan is to do the content area questions on the saunders CD then go to the book to review the topics for which I seemed to get a lot of questions wrong (I take notes as I do the questions so I know what to review)... then once i'm done reviewing the content go back and do the exam mode on the CD and then an ATI test for that topic area.
I also bought the NCLEX 4000 cd for extra question review which I plan to do for each area as well... Anyone have any advice on this plan?? Seems like it will take me a LONG time to cover all the material and I don't want to wait too long to take the exam... but at the same time I know I want to be prepared and hopefully pass first try!!
I graduated last April 2010 and for personal reasons, I'm only going to take the NCLEX-RN on Feb 2011, if not March. I'm also doing Saunders 4th edition. Like the previous replies said, I'm doing it cover to cover. After that, I plan to do Mosby. I don't know if I'll have enough time cause I'm thinking of working a three-day, twelve hour shift as a Nurse Tech in Telemetry. God help us!!! I've already begun to forget critical lab values!!!

Hello everyone!
I am new to this site, but I'm planning to take the NCLEX-RN early February. I just graduated in December. I've started to do practice questions and am wondering what other resources I should use to study.
I'm using Saunders 4th edition for practice questions and I also have the comprehensive review book. I have a couple of other books given by my school to help review. Are there any other good books that are recommended?
I'm hoping and praying to pass the 1st time. I'm planning on taking the Kaplan review course, not sure tho. Does it really help? I'm hearing mixed reviews on it.
Also any good study plans out there?
