Tweety the time change threw me off for a few days too

Ado I was in Flagstaff years ago, was surprised at how cool it was compared to the rest of Arizona

Stars I don't think I've been in a theater since the pandemic

NJ22 I think I tried magnesium at one point but didn't find it helpful

Happy birthday Dianah!

Felt  better yesterday and had a fairly normal day at work,  although I had to work right up until the end

Rest of the evening was fairly quiet.  Exercised and tried to find information about next month's  local  elections, have not heard much recently.  Began some more research on volunteer opportunities in the area

Tonight will  grocery shop  and then have our vestry meeting, so I'll  skip yoga this week.

Will be a bit warmer today, in the upper 40s

Thank you for birthday greetings!

Dh does NOT like to go to theaters to watch a movie.  He prefers to rent or buy the DVD, or watch streaming -- comfortably at home, no popcorn to crunch underfoot.

Have never been to Flagstaff.  I know friends who LOVE Sedona!   We enjoyed visiting Lake Havasu City last year, for the bluegrass festival.  That was in March.  A friend who lives in LHC says for three months of the year, the temperature is 124 degrees!  She says the locals hang out in air conditioning for those three months -- much like ppl who live in snowy climates hang out indoors (mostly) for the three months of Winter!

Raining again today, on and off, then clear till the weekend and a couple days next week.  Gosh, we're having a REAL Winter!!  Haven't had one of those in a few years.

Have a good day!

We've had a 70 degree Spring for most of the Winter, but "they" say to watch out for next week when the temps will drop.

Nannie and I go to the hairdresser for trims tomorrow at 2 PM. I have been tempted to cut my own, as I have for years, but the set up here in the bathroom makes getting the back difficult, and I just didn't feel like doing "difficult".  It has to do with being closer to the mirrors, one of which was set at an angle to the other. But not here. (? boo.)

When I told the hairdresser on the phone that it would be an appt for me AND Nannie, the way I said it made her laugh knowingly and she said, "Bless your heart." ....but not in a sarcastic way. She had both of her [divorced] parents and a son who has bad emotional problems, so she knows what caregiving can be like; plus she has cut Nannie's hair for years, so she knows Nannie from BEFORE the dementia began eating her brain. Nannie was a real PIP (not said nicely) anyway, so she knows how Nannie actually WAS, and that how she IS NOW is not much better, just different.

We are at 50 degrees with a NNW wind at 10-15 mph, and blue skies, and you can betcha, by golly, yes sunshine sure is bright!! ?

Last time I was at a movie theater the price had gone up to $7 or $8 admission, and forget about the outrageous prices of popcorn and drinks!

I'm not sure if it was the birds, night-time animals, or wind, but the steps were cleared off of birdseeds this morning. I just distributed more seeds and they are happy birds!

Aaaaand, as usual, post-breakfast, the Siesta has started. And hallelujah, guess what! Nannie's bed was DRY, with only a small wet spot on the chux.  It's a good thing, too, because yesterday I had to wash ALL her bed stuff.

Hubby has been sitting out in the Ford......which has NO gas and a dead battery. I keep reminding him he has to find out where he can get his driver's license replaced and IF he has to test on all of it again. // Two days ago I drove the young neighbor to the store; he said I was a better driver than his Grandpa, AND that I even drive better than my husband does! ??

Well, hubby is now here in the den. Hope he doesn't fall asleep, because he has trouble going to sleep at night and staying asleep. I have offered to "use the velvet sledgehammer", but, gee, he declines that every time.

Later!

As they used to say many years ago: COOL BEANS! Free typewriter ribbon! But now you have to plan where to get replacements, since he won't be getting them in anymore.

We had Kay-Eff-Sea for supper. Once again, hubby ended up with a thigh instead of the breast in his box-meal. LAST time I was there, they said they were OUT of white meat! WHOT??? A chicken chain with no white meat? That is just NOT RIGHT!

I want a cat and I want a dog, but all I can have at this time is Nannie and hubby. At least neither of them tries to lick my face! That's SOMETHING to be thankful for!

I go to the $5 Tuesday matinee at AMC theaters here.  Some movies like Avatar and Wakanda Forever I like to see on the big screen.  The seats are huge and recline and have a foot rest, so very comfortable.  My only complaint is sometimes it's too cold.  I also stream movies.

Work was okay.  I worked the floor and wasn't in charge.  Had 5:1 most of the day so that helped.

Happy Birthday, Dianah!

There is no $5 matinee here. I like the theatre because nobody talks, or changes the channel. I can just sort of immerse myself and shut out the rest of the world. And I really like movie theater popcorn.

I went to the plant potting event. There were tons of people and it got a little cold so I ducked into the greenhouse where it was nice and warm. I helped the inside people arrange like with like, in orderly rows. It felt like I was back in my old seasonal job working at a little local nursery. They seemed surprised that I could recognize so many plants without a label.

We're going to youngest grandchild's band concert tonight.

LOVE the movie theater popcorn!

I also like movie theater popcorn, but I don't like the price! Also, at some places the popcorn is way too salty. Don't tell anybody, but I was known, long ago, for bringing my own popcorn! ? Tsk-tsk!

Or pee in inappropriate places (well, too much). This new cat, though neutered, does the spray thing. Makes the place smell so bad. I'm over it. He's really sweet/loving but ugh!

Went to choir practice tonight. Might have to work the med/surg floor tomorrow. One nurse called in and the other one is quitting and called in all last week so we will see if she decides to come in. These younger employees have a different view of the world. And again, I now feel old. There were 4 patients when I left.

I found my other suet basket/cage. I had hung it in a different tree and then forgot.

Severe weather is possible tomorrow, too.

My favorite thing is to have popcorn and Sugar Babies -- sweet and salty.
