4 PM and I just got back from the errand run--- I went to the Battered Women's Shelter store and donated a bunch of books, and picked up 5 more books for $5.00. Such a deal! ?
Went to the bank and the post office and then to Food Lion for groceries and supplies. When I got back both the sleepers were doing their thing; hubby upstairs and Nannie in her recliner. What a nice QUIET house!
I toted all the bags of groceries into the house and put them away. I got hubby a bunch of frozen meal "bowls" which he likes a whole lot and actually requested. (Time was when he wouldn't even LOOK at any foods from the freezer, except peas, corn and broccoli florets.) It makes it way easier that he really likes the bowls, because they take under 10 minutes to nuke....and we ALL don't have to eat the same thing at the same time! I'm not usually hungry when the rest of the inmates here want to eat (4:30 to 5 PM).
I gave up and called the doc's office to see if hubby can have a humidifier to go on his big 02 whatchacallit....wasn't sure if, with his dx of COPD and Emphysema, it was okay to have the moisture 'added' to his lungs with the 02. (I know, I don't even sound like a nurse anymore.) I'm tired of him saying how dry he feels in the morning, and I'm not talking 'dried out' as in detoxing. I have told him to call the doc's office to see if it is okay, but has he called? Nooooooo! Not sure when the 02 providers will be back in this side of town; they cover a large area. He will have to call them. He did somehow manage to call the doc's office to get his refills okayed, but as yet has made no appt w/ him.....nor the eye doc. And *I* still think he needs to have an MRI of his noggin!
It rained more over-night, but I didn't have to change the towels I had put down in the leaky corner of the den last night.
GADS! I am so tired of being a House-Wife, Nurse, and the Supply Officer. He told me last night not to do the dishes, that he will do them. However there is still a sink full of those same dishes now, and there will be more after supper. This is the 3rd time he has said he would do dishes or and has not followed through.
I'm going to have to ask hubby how many years he expects to be drinking and sleeping ALL THE TIME. Well, I won't ask it that way. But I will ask him to seriously consider attempting detox again.... I just REALLY don't want this to be 'the rest of my life'! And if he doesn't stop drinking we won't be able to do any retirement traveling we have talked about doing once we are sprung from this Nannie-Trap. Plus, think of the $$$ 'we' could save if he quit putting all the vodka on his charge card.
That's all for now, and I'd say it is quite enough!

Longest day of the year
Stars I normally use my cell phone for calling, but rarely give out the number. I freely give out the number to my landline but keep the ringer off and just check messages periodically

Busier day at work yesterday as some stuff came in later in the day, but overall was not too bad. Ordered Chinese as I hadn't had any in quite some time. Exercised and ran an errand or two
Tonight I'm planning to drive into the city to go to a popular gay bar. Will be a first time for me, should be interesting. Hopefully traffic won't be too bad
Will be another warm day in the upper 80s, no rain expected
