Weatherford LVN Spring 2014

Hey guys :-) I was looking through threads and didn't see any about the LVN program this Spring at WC. I have applied to 3 schools this summer; 2 were for ADN programs and the other was WC lvn. I lacked points for the ADN programs but got a letter from WC saying Ive been chosen as a alternate in the LVN program :-)

While getting my BSN was my first choice, it is definitely a step in the right direction to get my nursing license and then continue in a bridge program. Orientation for WC is Dec 3rd. Anyone else been accepted/alternate?!?

Have any of you registered for classes? The weatherford site says only 5 spots have been registered so it's hard to gage if there will be any chances for us alternates.

I hope to hear something tomorrow, before winter break starts :(

I am starting the LVN program in January. I got registered a week or so ago. I still have a few things to get. The book package looks like it was missing two books. Did anyone get their books yet?

KL said the biggest change in spots will be tomorrow because that is when everything is due. I see only 7 spots registered so far but Im sure today a lot of people will be turning in their stuff.

Im still an alternate so Ill be watching!!

Under MyWC, I look at course availability for vocational nursing.

I think KL said she would be registering people for class as they get their stuff turned in right? Or did you register yourself?

I called her after I had everything done, and she registered me over the phone. :)

I feel so dumb asking but does anyone know where we go on the first day?? The sheet we got at orientation just said be there at 8AM with a notebook and pen/pencil but didn't say where...and my schedule says 'clinical' so I'm confused! Everything else says LART 122; do we go there??

They said unless instructed otherwise to go to LART 122 so that's where I was planning on going. :) I was planning on getting there early in case I was wrong though.

That was my plan too! LART 122. I'm glad I won't be there all by myself! Did you guys get your books yet? What about your scrubs and stuff?
