Weatherford College Spring 2012 ADN Applicants!

Hey All!! I decided to make a thread for spring 2012. I was jumping aroung to the fall 2011 applicants and fall 2012 applicants. So I made one for the coming up app period to avoid alot of double posting.

I have heard from some of the spring 2012 applicants but am surprised I have not encountered more.

Where are yall hiding? :)

I just scheduled my background check and another round of shots. Sucks that I had to pay for this one and the drug screen before I even know if I'll get into TCC. We can't use this one for Tccd also, are can we? Manow, any thoughts?

I have already completed my background check becuase I was unsure if a couple of misdemeanors I had would show up. I have already received my blue "you're good" postcard it talks about in the letter. I plan on using it for all three of the schools. Why would they make us pay for another one??? We get copied of everything; hopefully these can be taken to the program office and copied???

I would think one background check would be enough since it is for the same crediting board. The drug test may end up having to be redone since you might have different companies that each school uses. I would call and ask the admin at both schools. Is everyone enjoying this cooler weather? I guess the letters did come before the cooler weather. Lol

Yeah, I did some looking around online and the company is the one the BON uses, not the school so it should be fine.

@ Jenn - lol, I forgot you posted that! Too funny. Yes, we have been LOVING the weather. So nice.

Hey guys! Luckily I have been working in the medical field for 9 years now, so I'm up to date on all the shots and my TB. I paid for the drug test this weekend, and I have an appt to do my fingerprinting on Wed morning, so after that's done I'm heading to WC from Ft. Worth to turn in everything I have and to talk to KL to make sure I'm getting everything done. There are so many due dates to remember!

I was surprised how quick I got the results. It was about a week after I did my fingerprints. and TCC uses L-1 so I made sure to keep the receipt of the fingerprinting as well. I have been working for a doctor so I made sure to take advantage of the vaccines and tests we had to have working in the field. I have all my immuno's done. I just need CPR becuase mine expires in January :(

I have to renew my cpr as well. Did you guys notice on the blue checklist on the back near the bottom it also says we have to have a flu shot? I had mine in October of last year, so I'll be getting another ASAP. I'm taking my immuno's, the receipt for the drug screen, and the fingerprinting receipt up to KL tomorrow. Trying to get as much out of the way as possible so I dont feel like I'm scrambling toward the due dates.

I turn in my acceptance and the transcript review form today. I was faxing it and I don't trust fax machines and she offered to put me on hold and retrieved it from the fax. The whole time she was laughing and joking and calling me kiddo, lol. It always amazes me how nice they are at WC. :)
