I turn in my acceptance and the transcript review form today. I was faxing it and I don't trust fax machines and she offered to put me on hold and retrieved it from the fax. The whole time she was laughing and joking and calling me kiddo, lol. It always amazes me how nice they are at WC. :)

I agree. The staff at WC is hands down a whole lot nicer than some other programs that I have spoken with. That really makes a difference on students, more than most know. Getting accepted to nursing school is emotional and stressful and WC made me feel awesome. Good luck on TWU and TCC btw, for those that are applying to those programs. Hopefull you will find out quickly, like we did for WC! :up:

4 weeks and 5 days til orientation!!! Friday is the first deadline. Hopefully the alternative list will see some movement on Monday. Still thinking of you guys and crossing fingers!

HI everyone. Best of luck to all those starting this Spring!!!!!!!!

Have some questions for those of you that have applied to TCC or Weatherford ADN programs. First, is it true that WC will plug in C grades for pre-reqs that are unfinished but are registered for? Second, is it silly for me to take the TEASV this December? I have known people that took it before they finished all the pre-reqs and they did well on the exam.

Originally I planned on applying to both ADN programs that start in Spring 2013. Now, I am considering applying for Fall 2012 at WC even if I just get on the alternate list.

I have a 4.0 in all general ed. and As in API and Coll. Alg.

I am taking Chem., will take PE in the winter mini and need to do APII and Micro this Spring. (My current schedule does not allow for more classes than Chem right now but plan on cutting back work hours when I get into an ADN program)

Any advice?

I did my background check today also! Nice to get that all turned in. And for Kalt get the study manual. You can take the TEASV 2 times in a 6 month period. I bombed my first time and I took it before I took A&P 2. I got the manual and totally brought my score up. It is worth the $. And I would also do it for Fall 2012. You will have a good chance of getting it if you nail that test. Good luck!

Yes, get the book!!! I was actually surprise at how little the TEAS had to do with stuff that we learned in AP II and Micro and it will be an advantage have chemistry fresh on your mind. Jenn is right. If you nail the teas and have already taken the five other classes that give you the other points you should have a good shot at getting in.

Was there anything on the TEAS from Micro? I don't remember if there was and I LOVED Micro so I would have remembered. I am just now taking Chem so the study book saved my life. I sold mine on Craigslist so I would check there. Barnes and Noble had one too but that was during the summer. Good luck and stay on Allnurses. It has really been a wonderful resource/shoulder to lean on.:heartbeat
