Welcome TiaB! I found this site last January but didn't start posting until July. This has been such a crazy process. Can you believe that we know and can relax now? It is unreal. Can't wait to meet everyone in October. There are some wonderful folks on here and it will be great to already have some friends going into this journey!

The TEAS was definitely not fun. But I scored really well compared to what I thought I'd do. I got 9 points off that puppy! I bought the book, of course, and the practice tests online. The practice tests were much harder than the actual tests, though. I didn't even pass those, so I wasn't too optimistic about the real thing. But, thankfully, I did well enough! Where are all our classmates and potential classmates? LoL you'd think people would be swarming here!

Yes student, that's the one! did you get it at the bookstore??? The previous edition is 20 bucks but is over 5 years old. I know that we've stumbled across a lot of new info concerning what we know about food and health. I never seem to be able to afford books. I have an appeal with the financial aid dept going becuase I have met the 99 hours limit and can no longer receive financial aid without special permission. So bummed:uhoh3: Do you think I will need it? Can I get by with an old edition???

Student, wow. Really??!?! That's so amazing of you. This helps me out so much; i know you know how it is. We're in the same boat. I went to the bookstore today and they wanted $100 just to rent it! Ouch, I have never paid so much for books. What's more is that when we start school we can expect double the books to purchase. I am praying and crossing anything possible that my financial aid gets approved.

You said you live behind the highlands? I work at Abuelo's over there. I can def come by whenever is best for you. OR you can come to the restaurant, I can buy you dinner! Such a small price to pay for such a gracious act you've extended to me. Thanks again infinity student.....

OMG! I feel horrible. Technically it is my sisters book and she just loaned it to a family friend. I do have some options for your though.

1. She lives really closes to you. Right in front of cb berry school. I could give you her info and you can be study buddies! She is a stay at home mom.

2. Found it on amazon (kindle edition) for $32 to rent. You can put a kindle app on any computer of iPhone/ipod

3. Textbooks.com for 37.99 for a hardcover book (rent) can ship in 2 days for 10 bucks or you can pay reg shipping and just hook up with my friend if you need to look at it before then.

So so sorry. I hope this helps!

My sister is really great at finding cheap books.

You amaze me Student; I can imagine what a wonderful nurse you will be. How nice of you to find alternatives for me. I actually just found if for $37 to rent on chegg! I can totally deal with that.

OMG! I am so relieved! We have had that book around here for two semesters and on the same day we wanted to loan it out. I couldn't believe it. I'm glad you found one, but seriously, if you have an assignment due before yours comes in let me know. I already called her and she said it was cool if you need it too!

Well Simrc and Phil - I am putting in a great app with TCC

4.0 GPA and 94 on the HESI. :yeah:

It just might do it. Hopefully I will get in!

Wow student! I bet you will have to end up giving up your spot in WC. That is a wonderful score. I haven't checked since I am not applying to TCC but that score/gpa has to be at the top.
