Weatherford College Fall 2012 start

Well, I am not sure if someone has started this topic already but I wanted to find others who will be applying for Weatherford's ADN program this application period. I am scheduling my TEAS for next week. I am excited to apply and see how things go. Would love to hear from others who are applying this round as well. Thanks and Happy New Year!!!!

PS I have been taking my pre reqs at TCC.

Wow...Online Practice B is harder than A. But I would have gotten 7 points from my score!

Maybe a few more will come around closer to applications being turned in. I am not looking forward to the wait after turning in my app.

So, to Idsless and Kaltenreider, do you live in weatherford? Are you applying to other schools also?

I do live in Weatherford and I am only applying to WC. I am lacking chemistry so I am unable to apply to TCC but I also would not want to drive that far to classes anyway.

I am actually in Decatur, and am definitely only applying to Weatherford.

Go Idslees! 7 points is great. I am pretty sure that I recognized many of the questions on the actual test as coming from the practice tests or at least very similar. Keep rockin'!

Simcr, I live in west Fort Worth so either TCC or Weatherford or not far. I really want to go to Weatherford because I hear it's a good program from friends that have went through it and are in it currently.

Hey guys, i just wanted to give you some encouragement. I am in 2nd semester at WC. I made a 78 adjusted individual total score on Version 5 of the TEAS, I was very high on the alternate list and got called about a week after letters went out. They almost went through the entire alternate list, they gave at least 3 spots that I know of at orientation because people did not show up. It sounds like you are doing great studying! I only took it once and didn't do a online study. So, I think ya'll are in good shape!

Thanks Formack, that is encouraging after dying on the alternate list for Spring! I am retaking the test for extra points, but I think I would be ok with the score I had before with 16pts, but just want to be sure! Good luck in your program :)

I think you will get in for the fall! It is just so hard with the spring because they take 1/2 as many people. I have a friend who was an alternate for Spring and didn't get called and then got in for Fall at the same time as me. Let me know if you have any questions! I know I had a ton

Thanks Formack! Do you think it would be beneficial to purchase any of the books and get a headstart on reading/learning? If so which books, fundamentals, pharmacology?

I only have 17 points and thought that would be competitive. Now I am questioning that.From what I am reading here 17s are alternates only. I guess I will just wait and see. Good luck everyone!

Corrina, those that had 17 made it into the spring acceptance, not on the alternate list. You have nothing to be worried about. I think only 2, 17's were on the alternate list and they got in within the first week or so of letters going out, but most 17s were accepted from the beginning and spring only had 20 spots. With fall having 40 spots, there is nothing for you to worry about.
