Weatherford College Fall 2012 start

Published

Well, I am not sure if someone has started this topic already but I wanted to find others who will be applying for Weatherford's ADN program this application period. I am scheduling my TEAS for next week. I am excited to apply and see how things go. Would love to hear from others who are applying this round as well. Thanks and Happy New Year!!!!

PS I have been taking my pre reqs at TCC.

Man, I thought I could go on about my business and not worry about this But I so am!! I keep thinking maybe I should apply to the LVN program as well. I have the lowest score on here, although, I think there's only like 5 of us on here. I don't know! I'm just so ready to get started with a career so I can afford the big family I already have. LOL

Christy...I'm right there with ya!! LOL! We thought once we got one child sent off to the Navy, groceries would be cheaper...NOT....the other 5 just took up his slack!

hey guys! hang in there :) its so close!!! i really hope all of yall get in! i decided to apply to the LVN program since i had a great shot at getting in and i know i wont be accepted into the RN program. i really just want to go ahead and get into nursing even if its a longer road to get my RN and then BSN, it will be worth it when i get there eventually :) so i will keep yall updated on that as well :)

Good Luck Jess!! My daughter is applying to the LVN program as well!

thank you!!! and really?! thats great! im really excited! i hope she gets in! do you know how many points she has by chance?

That's great Jess! I'm kinda thinking the same thing, LVN not a bad way to go. I gotta start something in August! did you take compass yet?

yeah thats how i feel! i dont want to waste a whole year... and... yes i have taken the compass! it wasnt bad! i mad a 97 on the reading and a 70 on the math! if i calculated all my points right i have 13, but im not sure. i emailed KL to make sure. she said normally 9 gets in but last year it was abnormally high and it was twelve.

She has decided to go with NCTC, Bowie Campus as we live in Decatur. I wish I could describe her face when she found out that this semester, they are requiring the TEAS V for the LVN class! $110 per test...ouch! But, the way they do their admission process is really neat. You attend one of 5 advisement sessions, you MUST apply for the program at the advisement session that you attend....or you have to attend one of the other ones. No waiting to turn in application later. It seemed that each session had between 12-20 people. They will take 40 for a class.

oh wow that is a lot different! but sounds like it give quite a bit more opportunity!

Idless, you live in decatur, so are you hoping for the new campus?

Yes....I am soooo hoping to get into the new campus here, it would be amazing. But I would happily drive to Weatherford too!

If I'm not enrolled in any classes right now, would I have to wait to see if I'm accepted into the program to apply for a student loan? Would there still be time to apply?
