Well, I am not sure if someone has started this topic already but I wanted to find others who will be applying for Weatherford's ADN program this application period. I am scheduling my TEAS for next week. I am excited to apply and see how things go. Would love to hear from others who are applying this round as well. Thanks and Happy New Year!!!!
PS I have been taking my pre reqs at TCC.
and... i was wondering if yall had any tips for me to help me with the math portion of the teas? since i really just need to pass that for sure to be thought of next time around.
i still need to bring up my science and grammar as well, but i can work on those. i made "A"s in my a&p classes so i wish there was more of that on the science!
You know Jenn, I passed math the first time, but with only a 70, so i needed more points. Math luckily is one that is able to manage. Science is so random that its hard to study and feel prepared. i would just make sure you know each requirement in the math section. I had to go back and look at what sections i needed work on. don't waste time on the sections you rock at, like the additon and subtraction, ok we all know these :) I know for me, I had to learn the roman numerals ( I know only one question came from that, but that is one more right toward passing).
Make sure you know PEMDAS (parenthesis, exponents, multiply/divide (right to left, add/subract (right to left)
Make sure you know the FOIL method for factoring (first, outside, inside, last)
Definately know the rules for adding/subtracting/mulitplying/dividing fractions, I had quite a few of those
Hmm, its late and my brain can no longer think.... Are you from Weatherford? If so, I can hand off the study material I used. I went through each section and studied, made notes, and worked problems.
Now, this last TEAS test, I did not worry about science, i was so off on questions each time I took it because they are random, I focused on the reading, math, and grammer.
