Hi everyone! I just wanted to start a thread for everyone who is waiting on an acceptance letter from wcccd. The wait is really getting to me and I need to know I'm not the only impatient one!

Well we have one or two more days to get through before we hear something if they actually mailed letters today. This wait and semester is driving me crazy! I am just praying that all woks out well. If things don't work out just wondering what everyone else is planning to do. I was accepted into WSU (not the nursing program). If things don't work out as I have planned I think I am going to transfer to WSU and start working on my BSN. This was my second time applying so I just don't want to be set back any further. Although I feel my chances are very good I had to have a step two this time. I already have my Associates' of Science so there is nothing left for me to take @ WCCCD. Good Luck to all!

Has anyone checked their transcript on Webgate to see if their major has changed to nursing? I saw that someone said theirs changed before they got their letters, and that's how they knew they were in.

i can't do it becuz i have a balance, but i have heard of students that have done it and took it as a hint that they got in. did u do it?

Yeah, I did and there was no change. I was just curious if anyone had heard. I guess we'll all find out tomorrow! Hopefully.

Sad news for those of us under 3.7. I just got my letter and it said the cutoff was a 3.7 again. I had a 3.56. Congrats to those who got in and sorry to those of us who didn't.

r u serious? oh my god!!! what about your other requirements? medical experience, whether or not u took all your prereq's with them? i just can't believe it!!!

None of that matters. It is strictly gpa. I heard a rumor that next semester that stuff may be considered but not for this round.

yea i just called the nursing office and thats what they told me. i'm probably not in either, i had the same gpa.

just curious as to what your grades were for each class. i had three A's in eng. psy. and micro and two b's in A&P it's like damn, what i gotta do take A&P over for A's?

I had A's in ENG, PSY, A&P1 and B's in A&P2 and Micro.

Sorry to hear you guys did not get in. I still have hope but my mail doesn't come until this evening, what you get when you live in the country 6-7 pm mail. That really sucks because I know a lot of people reapplied that did not get in for the fall and they did not retake any classes because the nursing department told them that they would get in with 3.5s and 3.6s. Well stick in there and I wish you the best of luck. This is just one of the many bumps in life.
