WCCCD Nursing student fall 2014

Hi I'm starting this thread for all those who were accepted to the nursing program at WCCCD fall 2014, or anyone who is currently in the program. We can post any questions or comments leading up to or during the program to help each other out. Good luck evryone!!

Simulation codes is separate. It was $172 alone!!I have a total of 6 books and I noticed that I did not get pharmacology book! This is for the entire semester not just first classes. There is the bundle of 3, two books for med surg, a handbook and the simulation codes. Like I said...I forgot my pharm book!

I called the bookstore ands they said hopefully by the end of the week they should have the books in, and that they receive books in everyday.

Just spoke to the guy from discount uniforms an he said that the name tags will be in tomorrow morning.

I got my books and they were almost $1000 that includes the simulation codes but they didn't have NUR 110 bundle so it's going to be more

I just realized that my nursing 118 book is in the bundle for book that

are in the nur 110 bundle. Anybody buy the bundle for nur110?

And I asked the guy that works at the bookstore and he said yes the book for nur 118 are in the bundle for nur 110 books...... I hope that makes sense.

Just spoke to the lady in the nursing office regarding the attire students are suppose to wear to the medical math workshop and she said business casual.......just passing on the message

I am officially accepted as an alternate for the Fall 2014 semester! I am a little behind everyone. I dont have my orientation and registration until August 15, so Im a little nervous. One question, for anyone who has any insight...

If youre not immune for Hep B, but youve began your series, and intend to finish it throughout the recommended Hep B time frame, will they accept you or does the series have to be complete at the time clinical begins?

Also, one other question...

What comes in the MedSurg, Fundamentals and Pharmacology "bundles".

I may be buying my books somewhere other than WCCCD and I want to make sure I get everything included in these bundles.
