  1. At orientation they told us to read first six chapters of each book...which I already did along with study guide. Now that we have received the syllabus, it says to read MANY more chapters!! UGH!!! I did not have to do all that and I have to do so much more now!!!
  2. From what I understood it is the first 6 chapters of foundations and assessment. Is that what everyone else thought?
  3. Read the first 6 chapters in each book for the first 7 weeks!!! It is soooo much reading but we can all get it done!!
  4. I had the same question and I was told (and since I am continuing in the program I assume it is correct) that as long as you started the series it was fine. The shots are given now, at 1 month and then at 5 or 6 months. Some advice that I think we ALL could have used...verify your drug screen!! I think all of us had issues with it and maybe we can save you some aggravation!!!! Good luck!!
  5. Simulation codes is separate. It was $172 alone!!I have a total of 6 books and I noticed that I did not get pharmacology book! This is for the entire semester not just first classes. There is the bundle of 3, two books for med surg, a handbook and the simulation codes. Like I said...I forgot my pharm book!
  6. I went and got my books today. They were $729. Make sure when you go you have everything you need. I had to ask for several things even tho he told me I had it all. The simulation especially!! The rest of the books look SO discouraging!!! Good luck everyone!!!
  7. I was out that way yesterday and checked to see of they were in. They said to check on monday. I just want to get that reading done!!!
  8. Word of advice to everyone...before going to either uniform location for supplies, call to make sure someone is there. Website and phone says they open at 10am and I have been waiting here for 30 minutes so far. No one answers the phone at either location!!!
  9. Schedules are now posted. Looks like classes are a little over $2100 and then books!! It will be worth it in the end!!!
  10. Just curious. ..has anyone else checked webgate? My schedule is still not posted and I get nervous about stuff like that!!! Plus, it would be nice to know the total cost!!!
  11. No...I am starting to worry. I have read the past years but I know alot has changed. It was like 55 pages long!! I dont want to read that whole thing tonight!!
  12. Has anyone received their handbook yet? I know that it is to be emailed, but I did not get mine yet...
  13. I think maybe since there are so many different 10 panel drug tests that maybe some test for a broader spectrum then others. I know my first even included alcohol (which was not needed, waste of money!!) Then I needed to go back and do methadone, methaqualone and my specific gravity... not to mention the lab tech used the wrong tubes and I had to go back again!!! If you have not been called by now I would not worry. I turned my papers in and was called the very next day. Did ANYONE else at all have to go back and do the methaqualone?
  14. I cannot remember the full name!!! But I think it is spelled methaqualone...
  15. Do not be surprised if you get a call. There was a test we needed that was added after the letters went out AND it takes about a week to come back. The dean will give you time to do it if all of the other test are complete. I did not realize how long all of this would take! I am sure it will be worth it in the end...
