WCCCD Nursing student fall 2014

Hi I'm starting this thread for all those who were accepted to the nursing program at WCCCD fall 2014, or anyone who is currently in the program. We can post any questions or comments leading up to or during the program to help each other out. Good luck evryone!!

I don't know if you guys have already seen it or not but they sent out an email with our syllabus for each class attached to it.

just printed them all out... almost 200 pages later!!!!!!!!

Nursing orientation for the alternates is this Monday. I think we have to wait until then to get our syllabus with the class schedules.

At orientation they told us to read first six chapters of each book...which I already did along with study guide. Now that we have received the syllabus, it says to read MANY more chapters!! UGH!!! I did not have to do all that and I have to do so much more now!!!

Is it possible that someone forwards me the syllabus email so I can get a head start. I feel like a sitting duck, waiting until Monday. It seems so close, but yet so far away still.

From what I read of the syllabus it didn't have ch 3 and 5 but had other chapters on it. It looks like we will be covering them week 1.

cpushm, How does that work with the alternates? Do they have a spot in the program this semester for you or do you have to wait for a spot to open?

Well, what happened with me was going to be accepted into the term, but I had an error with a transfer credit. They didnt get it transfered in time, so unfortunately i had to wait for a new semester to start.

But then I got a call saying that one of the expected students was not able to accept their seat, which means one opened up for me to start this semester, due to the fact that I got my credit situation fixed.

But since it was a last minute thing, our orientation had to be squeezed in, and everything is fast paced before Thursday, which is stressful.
