I created this forum, for us pre-Nursing students, finishing up our prereqs and preparing for the HESI and admittance into the Nursing program for 2015! Let's keep each other motivated and driven. We can do it! Hope to hear from my fellow school mates :-)

so the HESI test I was wondering if anyone can give me details of what I should study on anatomy and physiology.and do I need to know the metric conversion.Thanks in advance I am new to the forum

I also failed hesi. I took it July . I got 64 on math. I made the mistake of finding LCD for multiplication of fractions. I panicked! Ugh. I take again on sept 5. Good luck to you! I hope we both pass!

Hi tyasiaadlb84, as far as the A&P portion the test is very random so there isn't one or even a few systems to focus on. Know general knowledge of them all and you should be fine. And yes, there are a few conversions problems on the math portion.

Kellywcccd2015 When did you take the hesi exam in july what date I took mine july 31 and have to wait 45 days to retake it

Thanks myworldismusic1, is the vocabulary section of the Hesi on the the test. Would you say that the hesi study guide has the information for anatomy and physiology. Thanks in advance

No the vocab is not included. Yes and no as far as the a&p part. It does give a good, simple overview but I wouldn't use it as my only source of study material.

Hello I'm a fall 2015 hopeful. I've taken psychology, a&p 1, and English. Also my sociology and nutrition. This semester I'm taking a&p 2 and microbiology. Nervous about hesi I'll take it after fall semester

So I will be applying in January for fall of 2015.. I have completed micro, a&p 1, psychology, sociology. I am taking now "well semester starts tomorrow" a&p 2, nutrition, and English 1 fall semester ends in December and I was planning on taking the whole month of December to study for hesi, do you think that enough time or should I allow myself more than just 1 month to study?

I was thinking the same thing! Taking the HESI at the end of Jan. Or early February.

I'm excited for this semester to begin! Last 2 prerequisites to complete for the program :-) I have Microbiology and A&P II! Not to mention, single mom of 2 and work full time....Best wishes to all of you!
