Wcccd 2014 fall nursing hopefuls

Hi! Everyone, i'm new to the blogging stuff and its my first time writing messages

but i'm also applying for the WCCCD nursing program this month for the fall 2014 semester and i'm super excited!!

i did very well on the Hesi exam, finished all my pre-req at wcccd, have health care experience and several certifications. i cant wait to apply, i wish everyone good luck on being accepted.....i'll keep everyone posted on my journey!!

Thank you Future_RN_0711 for the input on the hesi exam. and far as the extension of the application dead line. From what I hear there weren't enough applicants. not sure how true this is but I was told by a lay in the nursing office..

Your welcome, and the nursing program could at least send out email or letter saying the the application date has been extended instead of us having to find out on our own..

Have anybody heard that the Wcccd nursing program is not accredited? I've heard that several times.........

I also am waiting to hear if I have been accepted. Does anybody know how the scoring system works?

I have a 4.0- all pre reqs completed at wcccd

90 average on the hesi

healthcare experience

I have NOT completed my co-reqs yet

I heard rumors about it not being accredited, but I know several people who have gone through the program and had no problems getting a job

It looks like you are in good stand standing. I think that you are only given 5 points for co-reqs. There are a lot of rumors out there, but from what I was told it is based on the 100 point scale and top 60 students are taken. We will see....good luck!!

Well it has been 65 days!!!! since I turned in my nursing application and I'm still thinking about it everyday and yes my life is on hold for the moment while I am waiting for the answer. I hope it comes soon soon soon because it can't come soon enough!!!!!!! How's everybody else holding up?

Does anybody know how the point beak down of the hesi goes? How many points for each section?

I think it's

8pts for 100-93

6pts for 92-84

4pts for 83 and lower

They give you points for each section of the test

hope this helps!!

And if I'm wrong somebody correct me
